"Calmed down a lot more,"- Samantha Busch's impact on the RCR driver's demeanor

Kyle 'Rowdy' Busch has been competing in the Cup Series for almost two decades and is one of the most successful drivers with 63 wins in 698 races. Busch, nicknamed 'Rowdy' for his demeanor, said he had 'calmed down' after his wife and kids entered his life.

In a conversation with former NASCAR driver Kenny Wallace, Wallace asked Busch if Samantha had made him a better person. To which the 39-year-old Busch replied:

"Oh yeah, a 1000%, definitely. The Rowdy nickname didn't come along because I wasn't."
"I would say the kids thing kinda changes you a little bit as well, more so. I was still a hothead getting into trouble doing crazy, stupid things with Samantha, being married to Samantha, but when the kids came along, I think it kinda calmed down a lot more. I feel like that's probably the biggest sense." Busch added.

Meanwhile, the #8 Chevy driver is gearing up for the Brickyard 400 race at Indianapolis Motor Speedway on July 21. Busch, who is going through a rough patch in his career, is yet to claim a win in the 2024 season. He is now 102 points away from the playoff cutline.
