Kenny Wallace has likened himself to AC/DC lead guitarist Angus Young. The American stated that he saw himself in Young when the rock star let loose while playing the guitar during a show.
Kenny Wallace is a 61-year-old professional stock car racing driver who once competed in NASCAR. While the Missouri native didn't score a single win in the Cup Series, he bagged nine victories in the second-tier series.
Wallace shared a video of Angus Young rocking out on stage at the age of 69 and likened himself to the latter.
"I AM Angus 😂💯🕺🕺🕺🕺," the 61-year-old wrote.
Aside from playing lead guitar, Angus Young co-founded the Australian rock band AC/DC in December 1973. The band's seventh studio album, Back in Black, is one of the best-selling albums of all time alongside Michael Jackson's Thriller and The Eagle's Hotel California.
Today, Young is the only original member of AC/DC. The band will host a North American Tour in 2025 for the first time in nine years.
As for Kenny Wallace, the former NASCAR driver recently launched a podcast show with Ken Schrader, Herm & Schrader. The duo talks about the ins and outs of racing including current events and their experiences competing in NASCAR.
Wallace also hosts his own show, Coffee with Kenny. The show allows the 61-year-old to share his opinions including some facts about himself.
Kenny Wallace compares his wife's gambling to his racing intensity
Kenny Wallace shows his intense love for racing by continuously covering the sport despite retiring about a decade ago. However, Wallace's racing intensity was challenged by his wife gambling during the holiday season.
In an X post, the former NASCAR driver wrote:
"Kim has the same intensity for gambling as I have for racing 😂."
The revelation follows an earlier post about starting new Christmas traditions in the Wallace household. As for his wife Kim, she wanted to try going to the casino on Christmas Day.
"NEW tradition for the Kenny Wallace family. We are celebrating on Christmas Eve, so our girls can start their own family new traditions. Kim said she wants to go to the casino on Christmas Day. Merry Christmas everyone," Wallace said.
Kenny Wallace retired from NASCAR in 2015.
"Here we go.. The ole. 'I am off work for Christmas let’s go out and eat and everything is packed and you cannot get into the restaurants' 🥴🥴🥴🥴," Wallace wrote on social media.
Wallace retired from NASCAR in 2015 after over two decades of competition. He made over a combined 900 starts in the Cup, Xfinity, and Truck Series, reflecting his unrelenting love for racing.
Outside NASCAR, Wallace continues to race his No. 36 dirt car at age 61. He even won multiple races including a dirt car race in Lincoln, Illinois.
