NASCAR reporter Jamie Little recently sent her sympathy to racing commentator for NBC Sports Townsend Bell, who lost two homes in the recent wildfires in Los Angeles.

The wildfires in California have caused a lot of destruction, with at least 10 deaths and over 180,000 people forced to evacuate. Strong winds made the fire spread quickly and ravaged about 9,000 houses and other buildings over thousands of acres in the Los Angeles area.

NBC Sports announcer Townsend Bell also lost his home in the fires and posted before-and-after photos on social media. Little, who is the play-by-play and pit reporter for Fox, responded to Bell's tweet and wrote:

"I’m so sorry for your loss TB. 🙏🏻 Unfathomable. Can’t imagine those emotions."

Bell, who used to race in the IndyCar Series and other sports car events, talked about experiencing the disaster in the past two days on Thursday.

"Quick thoughts. Last 48 hours have been surreal. Fire, smoke, joy, tears, adventure, coughing, depression, little sleep, wildest motocross ride of my life. We lost 2 houses. We tried everything to save them. Everyone is safe…. Lot of work in front of us. This is not the makeover photo I wanted to share…..time to grind," Bell wrote.

Bell won championships in Indy Lights in 2001 and United SportsCar in 2015.

"This fire disaster is heartbreaking to watch" - Jamie Little on deadly wildfires in South California

Jamie Little used to work for ESPN, covering events like the Indy Racing League and the X Games. She joined Fox Sports to cover NASCAR's ARCA Menards Series and became the first woman to be the lead announcer in 2021.

Little visited Los Angeles in preparation for the upcoming NASCAR Cup Series season. She posted another tweet about the wildfires currently impacting California on Wednesday and wrote:

"This fire disaster is heartbreaking to watch here in So Cal. The winds are unbelievable. I heard evacuees being turned away at my hotel. Feeling helpless."

The wildfire started in Pacific Palisades this Tuesday and burnt an area of over 30,000 acres. Five major fires are still burning with the Palisades fire being the worst in Los Angeles city history, obliterating over 10,000 homes, vehicles and other structures.

Strong winds up to 100 mph and the dry conditions made the fires worse. Firefighters are struggling to control its spread with limited resources, and teams from other states are helping.

The fires have also made the air quality hazardous, and officials have warned people to stay inside. A Red Flag Warning is still in place. Authorities have also requested locals not to return to affected areas.
