Dale Earnhardt Jr.'s wife Amy jibed at her husband for playing "sh**t" music after waking up. During the Dirty Mo Media podcast, she highlighted how Junior reacts when he falls in love with a new song and how it affects her.
The two-time Xfinity Series champion first met his wife when he hired her firm for the interior design of his Kannapolis residence. The company assigned the job to Amy and she started visiting Junior's home, and sometime later, the duo entered into a relationship albeit hidden from the public eye.
It was in 2011, over two years after dating, that they went public with their relationship at the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Champions Week Awards Ceremony. In 2016, Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Amy tied the knot in Lexington, North Carolina.
Amy has known Earnhardt Jr. for over a decade now and thus, has become well-versed with how her husband responds to different situations on any given day. She touched upon the 49-year-old's admiration for music and that he's constantly feeding a new release to his group.
Mrs. Earnhardt pointed out her husband putting his new favorite atop their regular playlist and said that every time she sits in the Truck with him, the newly added music plays first.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.'s wife then spilled the beans about his enraging choice of morning songs and what she feels listening to them. She said:
"So here's the other thing about Dale, he likes to turn on heavy rock or something like that when he first wakes up and like for me, that's gonna send me into a rage and that's gonna dictate how I act all day long. He's like, 'Yeah! Let's go, let's do Tuesday!' and I'm like, 'I am gonna claw someone's face off, turn that sh** off. We don't have to start off with Metallica which I like but not the first thing in the morning. (0:14)
Junior said he's fond of Pop Punk and Alternative 90's music and that Amy savors his chosen genre bands when he takes her to a concert.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.'s wife shares on-track affair with High Rock Vodka at Bristol
Since retiring from full-time Cup racing after the 2017 season, Dale Earnhardt Jr. has been running a part-time Xfinity Series schedule. He has run atleast one race per season and returned to Bristol to mark his maiden debacle this year.
The #88 Chevy driver kicked off his Food City 300 run from 13th place but succumbed to early issues with his radio. He entered the pitlane to resolve the problem but was found speeding. The team couldn't solve the issue and the speeding penalty added to the disappointment, "pissing" the legendary driver. As a result, he ran nearly 50 laps without clear communication with the crew.
Nonetheless, the JR Motorsports co-owner and driver outperformed all of his teammates- Sam Mayer (P9), Sammy Smith (P15), and Justin Allgaier (P3) and finished seventh.
Amy was at the venue and before exiting the 'World's Fastest Half-Mile' oval, she shared a photograph depicting the couple's co-owned brand, High Rock Vodka's bottle placed on Bristol's concrete track.
