DeLana Harvick, wife of former NASCAR driver Kevin Harvick, recently shared a touching tribute on social media celebrating their daughter Piper Grace's 7th birthday. Kevin Harvick retired after the 2023 Cup Series season, concluding a remarkable career in motorsports.

Kevin Harvick met his wife, DeLana, during a race weekend at Michigan International Speedway in 2000. The couple tied the knot on February 28, 2001, just before Harvick’s debut in the Cup Series. They share two children, son Keelan Paul Harvick (born July 8, 2012) and daughter Piper Grace Harvick (born December 28, 2017). Their family also includes three dogs and two cats, creating a vibrant and loving household.

Recently, the youngest Harvick in the NASCAR champion's house celebrated her 7th birthday. Sharing a few snaps of Piper Grace with her brother Paul, Delana Harvick marked the auspicious day with a post on X (formerly Twitter).

"Happy 7th Birthday to my sassy, independent, witty, spicy, loving, no BS little red head. I am so grateful God chose me to be your momma!" she wrote on X.

The 2014 NASCAR Cup Series champion is among NASCAR's all-time greats. With over 800 Cup Series starts, he has achieved 60 victories, including the prestigious Daytona 500. Kevin Harvick also claimed the 2020 regular-season title and excelled in the Xfinity Series, securing two championships. These achievements solidify his legacy as one of motorsport's most accomplished drivers.

Following his retirement, Harvick now co-owns the zMAX CARS Tour with two-time Xfinity Series champion Dale Earnhardt Jr. The pair of NASCAR legends consistently work towards raising the bar of their newly-owned grassroots racing series. Moreover, the 49-year-old also hosts the 'Kevin Harvick's Happy Hour' podcast, presented by FOX, where he discusses everything NASCAR.

Kevin Harvick recently shared his thoughts on the current playoff format in the Cup Series, which recently gained heavy traction after Team Penske's #22 driver Joey Logano secured the 2024 championship title, marking his third triumph in NASCAR's top division.

Statistically, Logano arguably had the worst performing season by a champion in the history of the sport, as the #22 driver had an average finish of 17.11, the worst of all four championship drivers, raising controversy amongst the NASCAR fraternity.

Harvick was interviewed by Motorsports on NBC two weeks ago, where he shed light on the current playoff format.

"You know I think, when I look at our playoff system and the way that it functions currently it's really focused on winning. I wish we had a little bit more balance with the regular season and those 26 weeks of what that regular season championship means." the former champion said.
"I wish it meant a little bit more, and we have a 16, 12, 8, and 4 bracket (the elimination stages). So the winner takes it all at the end," he added. [49:00-49:30]

Moreover, speculations about a change in the current format have been on the rise. However, no official statement has been made by the organization.
