NASCAR legend Dale Earnhardt Jr.'s wife Amy Earnhardt recently expressed her views on her husband's ability to plan surprises. Amy appeared on a recent Dirty Mo Media's Dale Jr. Download podcast episode, where she humorously outlined her expectations from Dale Jr.
Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Amy Earnhardt got engaged on July 17, 2015, and tied the knot on New Year's Eve at Childress Vineyards in North Carolina. They are proud parents of two daughters: Isla Rose, born on April 30, 2018, and Nicole, born in October 2020.
Dale and Amy Earnhardt, one of NASCAR's most prominent couples, recently sat down on the Dale Jr. Download podcast and discussed whether they like to plan surprises in the Earnhardt household.
"Dale thinks I hate surprises. I have hated certain surprises that are hard for me, traveling. I didn't like a surprise when we get ready or about to go out on a trip or whatever, I'm like I can't prepare for that if he had my backpack and knew what to do and I felt comfortable with that, I would love it," said Amy
"You would not feel comfortable with me packing your bag," Dale Jr. comically responded." what if I said I got a surprise trip and it's tomorrow we're leaving and you have 24 hours to pack. I'd say Amy I've blocked off this week we're going to this town, this is what we're doing, it's planned, kids are taken care of you got 12 hours. Is that xexciting?"
Earnhardt Jr. and his wife Amy came to an agreement as the former Xfinity Series champion said that he now has a protocol he can follow.
Dale Earnhardt Jr. began his NASCAR journey in 1996 in the Busch Series (now Xfinity), capturing consecutive championships in 1998 and 1999. Throughout his career, he achieved 50 wins across NASCAR’s top two divisions. However, unlike his father, Dale Earnhardt Sr., a seven-time Cup Series champion, Earnhardt Jr. never secured the coveted Cup Series title.
