Tara Allmendinger shared heartwarming pictures with her and AJ Allmendinger's son from the USOA North Carolina Pageant. She was crowned Mrs. North Carolina.

Tara regularly partakes in beauty pageants, as evident on her social media accounts. While a lot of her posts are from these contests, her family appears regularly as well. Earlier this week, she shared a bunch of posts from her USOA Mrs. North Carolina win. One of them caught a lot of attention.

Sharing a wholesome picture with her son Aero, Tara wrote:

"I hope you look back on this son, and I hope you’re proud of mama. 💜"

AJ Allmendinger and Tara Allmendinger got married in 2019 after dating many years. They had their son Aero James Allmendinger in September of 2023. He is featured in a lot of Tara's social media posts.

The family is regularly seen at the NASCAR race weekends. Aero, Tara, and AJ Allmendinger went through something huge in the back of 2023, which they spoke about earlier this year.

AJ Allmendinger's wife Tara opens up about their son's surgery last year

Tara recently opened up about her son being born with a congenital disability. Aero underwent surgery when he was less four months old.

He was born with craniosynostosis, a condition that affects newborn babies. These children have the bones of their skull fused together before they are born.

To recover from this, AJ and Tara's son had to undergo surgery in 2023. Understandably, it was a terrifying time for the couple.

"Becoming parents has been our greatest adventure. Our son Aero was born with craniosynostosis, a congenital disability that affects 1 in 2,500 babies. He needed surgery to remove prematurely fused bone from his skull at three and a half months old; my husband and I were brand new parents, absolutely terrified," she said.

After the difficulties the couple faced, Tara Allmendinger initiated the P.U.R.P.L.E Ribbon Project. This initiative supports other families who are also dealing with Craniosynostosis.

"I created the P.U.R.P.L.E. Ribbon Project to ensure no family feels alone in their journey with Craniosynostosis," she added.

The surgery of AJ Allmendinger's son was a success. It took place back in December, and he is currently in the convalescent phase with helmet therapy: a specially molded helmet-like structure is used to reshape the baby's head after the surgery.

"So how these young children can bounce back is absolutely amazing. And yeah, it was harder on us than it ever was on him, it seems like," AJ said after the surgery.
