Hendrick Motorsports driver William Byron was featured in BR Racing’s Instagram reel uploaded on December 12th. The reel had various NASCAR drivers including the HMS star answer the question “Who do people tell you is your celebrity look alike?”.
Some pretty unique answers came up including animated characters, music celebrities, and even a U.S. President. William Byron said,
“I don't know! I went through different phases with my hair. So I had Justin Bieber hair for a while, so I'll say that.”
The caption of the reel was also based on Byron’s answer as it read,
“Which era of JB hair did Willy B have though."
Kaulig Racing's 2025 Xfinity driver Christian Eckes answered,
“My nickname is Sid because people think I look like Sid the Sloth (from Ice Age). Which I'm not super pumped about. I think I kind of beat those allegations but I don't know.”
Grant Enfinger, who races for CR7 Motorsports in the Craftsman Truck Series, said,
“When I had my haircut, and I went and shaved, some of my buddies busted my b*lls and said I look like the guy from Dumb and Dumber (Jim Carrey).”
Team Penske's Cup Series driver Ryan Blaney said,
“They say I look like some old U.S. President from like the 1800s when I had this beard going on. But when I'm clean-shaven, they say I look like, the doctor on Grey's Anatomy, Patrick Dempsey.”
The reel had a picture of the 18th US President Ulysses S Grant up when Blaney was answering the question. A.J. Allmendinger suggested that people sometimes call him Dave Portnoy. Tyler Reddick on the other hand claimed that his friends told him that he looked like Shaun White when the 23XI driver had long hair.
William Byron races in the NASCAR Cup Series for HMS and drives the No. 24 Chevrolet ZL1. The American finished the 2024 Cup series season in 3rd with 5034 points to his name.
