With Stewart-Haas Racing shutting operations this year, Ryan Preece is set to join Brad Keselowski’s RFK Racing for the 2025 NASCAR Cup Series season. The Connecticut-born driver expressed his feelings about working with Chris Buescher again during a recent SiriusXM NASCAR podcast.
Despite running six seasons in the Cup Series, Preece has been unable to win a race to date. The 34-year-old has managed to secure just 14 Top 10 finishes and one pole position in his Cup Series career. Despite an overall disappointing 2024 season, Preece has managed to secure a driver for next year with Keselowski’s RFK Racing, a move that has received flak from NASCAR fans.
Joining alongside Keselowski and Buescher, Preece will likely be hoping for better results with the multiple championship title-winning team next year. He is set to drive the #60 Ford Mustang Dark Horse race car for the team. Ahead of his debut with RFK, Preece shared his feelings about working again with the 2015 Xfinity Series champion Buescher.
"Doing my part, which is strong work ethic, being present and doing all those things, but the side of him, which is going to be building that team around you and giving you the opportunity to succeed that that's something, you know, it's a race car driver that you really want to hear," Preece expressed.
"one thing that I look forward to. So there's a lot of things that I look forward to, which is working with Chris again. We certainly had a lot of a lot of fun. We were working together in 2019 and I feel like there's a lot of stuff outside of the race car that we're gonna have. We're going to enjoy doing so," he added.
An audio clip of the above-mentioned conversation from the podcast was shared by SiriusXM NASCAR on Instagram. Here's a look at the post, captioned:
