NASCAR driver Daniel Suarez wrote a heartfelt note on his social media after celebrating his 33rd birthday on Tuesday, January 7th. Suarez shared a few snaps celebrating the occasion with his wife Julia Piquet.

Suarez competes full-time in the NASCAR Cup Series. Over his career, the #99 Chevrolet driver for Trackhouse Racing Team has claimed six wins across NASCAR's top divisions, including a Cup Series victory at Atlanta in 2024. Beyond his achievements in the U.S., he has an outstanding record in the NASCAR Brazil Series, with 11 wins in 77 starts. Suarez also boasts a significant milestone as the 2016 Xfinity Series champion, solidifying his reputation as an accomplished driver.

After his birthday celebrations, Suarez took to X and shared a warm message thanking everyone who wished him on his birthday. He wrote the message both in English and his native language, Spanish.

"Thank you everyone for all your messages, it really means a lot to me! I’m very blessed for everything that has happened in my life over the last 33 years." Suarez wrote.

Daniel Suarez and Julia Piquet, a fan-favorite couple on the NASCAR grid, tied the knot on July 30 in a lavish ceremony in Brazil. The two began dating in 2019 and got engaged after nearly two years together.

The Mexican driver secured his spot in the 2024 playoffs, however, his title chase only lasted until the end of the Round of 12.

"We have a lot of work to do": Daniel Suarez reflected on his performance in the 2024 Cup Series campaign

Daniel Suarez started off the 2024 season with a bang after winning the Ambetter Health 400 at Atlanta Motor Speedway on February 25th. However, the #99 driver went through a slump as the season went on.

In 36 race starts during the 2024 season, Suarez managed one trip to victory lane, along with nine top-ten finishes and four top-five results. He wrapped up the season with an average finish of 17.8, closely trailing 2024 Cup Series champion Joey Logano’s 17.1.

In December last year, Suarez praised the #99 team’s progress, while also highlighting the areas for improvement for the upcoming season.

“I think if you look at the big picture, our 99 team got better from last year. …We had a couple months in the middle of the year where we were trying new stuff and were very, very bad and eventually we had to reset and try again, and I feel that hurt the numbers of the 99 team. We were okay, a top-15 team most of the year, but we have a lot of work to do as an organization,” Daniel Suarez said (via NASCAR).

The Cup Series is set to return for the highly awaited Clash at Bowman Gray Stadium. Fans at home can tune in on FOX, MRN, and SiriusXM on February 2nd at 8:00 PM ET.
