She recounted struggling to catch any sleep on the flight due to the couples' daughter Lennix, who only managed three hours of sleep, while Samantha squeezed in just one. She also highlighted the sights they checked out on their first day.

Samantha had been teasing her Italian getaway outfits on Instagram for some time. Meanwhile, Kyle Busch, facing one of his toughest seasons yet with his sixth DNF, has recently expressed a strong desire for a break. During a post-race interview, he shared his need for the upcoming two-week break.

Samantha shared an update from their first day in Italy, detailing the challenges they faced. She described their exhaustion after the flight, saying:

"Day one in Italy, [...] We slept one hour on the plane, so I don't even know how many hours that has been, but we powered through. Uhh... yeah, I'm so disoriented."

She further explained the realities of traveling with kids, humorously noting:

"A vacation is only a vacation if it's the two of you. If you bring your kids, it's just a trip where you're parenting in a different country. [...] Homegirl stayed up till... I didn't even know. It was like over a seven-hour flight and she stayed up for four and a half hours of it. So she finally got about three hours of sleep. Mom got one. We powered through today."

Discussing their sightseeing in Italy, Samantha Busch shared:

"We did the Vatican which was really cool; the Sistine Chapel, like all beautiful."

She also recounted a less glamorous moment involving their daughter, explaining that Lennix hadn’t used the toilet in three days and then had a massive blow-out during dinner. Busch also spoke about their travel-related mishaps, sharing that the family had to order some chargers online because they realized that theirs didn't work in Italy.

Samantha Busch shared another comical mishap from their first day in Italy, involving an unusual smell. Initially having understood it to be someone smoking nearby, . She stated that they thought it was just someone smoking in the building above them and was something strong. She said:

"Brax and I are like coughing up along, can't figure it out, walk down the front desk and I'm like I think it may be a fire. I started saying there's a fire in front of the hotel, but maybe somebody's smoking. [...] An hour-long story short is...When I turned on the sound machine, we didn't buy the right adapter and then it blew the effing thing up. And let me tell you, that smell, it's like a chemical. Brax and I were coughing and tearing up."
