Danica Patrick has spoken about her intentions regarding her public statements, ahead of the November US Presidential elections. The NASCAR trailblazer said she wasn't going to be cowed by what people said, and would "get louder."
Danica Patrick is one of the most successful women in the arena of American open-wheel car racing. She is the only woman to have won a race in the IndyCar Series. She was also the first female NASCAR driver to earn a pole in a point-paying race. Today, she owns several businesses and hosts a weekly podcast called "Pretty Intense."
Patrick spoke about comments from people who, she said, consider her a right-wing 'Make America Great Again' activist due to her political views. She said that the comments only served to "light a fire" and she would not "back down."
Patrick made these comments as she was speaking on stage at an event as part of the Trump campaign's "Reclaim America Tour" in Las Vegas, NV. She said,
"People didn't like that. People looked at me like I was some radical right-wing MAGA. MAGA has got this awful connotation to so many people and you know what? All it did was light a fire.
"I will not be judged to live in America, be a proud American, say 'I love America', and want to make America great again. I won't be judged for it. Instead of quieting down, I am gonna get louder!"
While delivering her recent speech, Patrick continued:
"I was raised in a middle-class family. My parents love their garden; they still do. But my parents instilled really good values in me. Instilled values to dream really big, to be honest, and to work hard."
In an earlier speech, Kamala Harris claimed to have grown up as a "middle-class" kid as well. Harris has said something similar in two other interviews.
Danica Patrick has opened up on her political views in recent months. According to a report by The Spun, she wrote in an Instagram story,
"I am not a liberal. I am somewhere between Republican and Independent. I think our country should be run by someone that knows business and has integrity. I believe we should be able to speak freely. I love this country, and I have lived in other places. I believe when people of different opinions speak face to face, we realize we are more similar than different"
Furthermore, she has recently opened up on presidential candidate Kamala Harris' comments on her gun buyback stance, as well the latter's take on U.S. soldiers not posted in active combat zones

Per Newsweek, Patrick added the video on her Instagram story and wrote:
"She repeats herself. Takes long pauses. Never really says anything. But forgot her famous line "unburdened by what has been.""
Patrick had previously questioned the timing of Taylor Swift's post supporting Kamala Harris following the first US Presidential debate of 2024.
