NASCAR driver Hailie Deegan treated herself to a new simulator racing setup as a 23rd birthday gift. After a difficult season with AM Racing, Deegan shared her excitement about her most recent acquisition.
Competing full-time in the NASCAR Xfinity Series, Deegan drove the No. 15 Ford Mustang for AM Racing until July 8. She started her career in NASCAR's K&N Pro Series West in 2018 and was also the first female driver to win races in the series.
Deegan recently posted a video on YouTube expressing her excitement about her new simulator setup.
"I’m shocked how wide it is. This setup is massive," she said.
"That's my full motion R right there, it's 5 times the amount that this rig is and this rig is massive," she added.
Deegan expressed satisfaction with the upgrade. She now owns two simulators. Her new simulator features three 32-inch monitors. Meanwhile, her previous configuration featured two 27-inch monitors on either side of a 49-inch curved monitor in the middle.
"I’m really happy with it. It’s going to make racing and training much more enjoyable... It's going to be a lot more fun and we're probably going to spend a lot more time on it," she stated.
Hailie Deegan recently announced her departure from AM Racing on social media, saying,
“I worked hard to prepare for this season after the team pursued me to drive their car. Unfortunately, it hasn’t turned out the way I expected.”
The 23-year-old added that her goals no longer align with the team and that she is seeking new opportunities. Deegan. Her results this year have been disappointing, with only three top-20 finishes in 17 races. Joey Logano replaced Deegan for the Chicago race, where he achieved a season-best eighth-place finish.

The video features Hailie Deegan celebrating her birthday as well. She talked about how she felt about turning 23 and how her plans had to be canceled.
"Big 23 today. I know, I feel old. I'm old....'I'm feeling it. Hiting the gym, it used to not get sore when I used to hit the gym. Now everything just hurts all the time," she said.
She originally planned to celebrate with friends on a boat but had to change her plans due to racing commitments.
"We’re heading to Lime Rock for the TA2 race, but we’ll celebrate next week," she mentioned.
"We have to leave today so it is what it is. It’s totally fine. I mean, it's just like, it's just a day. It's fine, we can act like my birthday’s next week, It’s just a day," she added.
