Through a recent Instagram post, Kenny Wallace recalled how his mother used to be reminded by TV commercials that her son was playing outside. She would then scream at the top of her voice, ordering him to get in. The NASCAR veteran is now 61 years old and currently resides in Arnold, Missouri.
Wallace competed in NASCAR’s national-level races full-time from 1988 to 2015. He won nine races in what is known as the NASCAR Xfinity Series today. He was voted NASCAR Busch Series' Most Popular Driver in 1991,1994 and 2006. He also won the prestigious Busch Series Rookie of the Year award in 1989.
Recalling his childhood days, Wallace wrote,
“We had TV commercials that went like this, “it’s 10 o’clock at night do you know where your children are?” My mom, Judy would SCREAM from the top of her lungs to the nearby subdivision (Harmony Hills) KENNNNNYYYY COME HOME!! And I would run home 😆💯❤️❤️.”
Wallace has run races in the Cup Series as well. As per reports, he ran 344 cup races over a period of 18 years, amassing 27 top-10s. In the Xfinity Series, he ran 547 races and delivered 173 top-10s besides 10 poles. Wallace also ran 13 Truck Series races.
