Former NASCAR Cup Series driver Dale Earnhardt Jr.'s co-founded media company, Dirty Mo Media, will see a major change after Brett Griffin announced his departure. Griffin, who hosted the Door Bumper Clear podcast with his co-hosts T.J. Majors, Casey Boat, and Freddie Kraft, reflected on his time with the team by sharing a post on his X account.
Brett Griffin is a brand activist, sports marketer, and spotter for several NASCAR drivers, including Jeff Burton and Clint Bowyer. He recently spotted Richard Childress Racing driver Austin Dillion. Griffin has been part of the Door Bumper Clear podcast since its first episode which aired in 2016.
The podcast is produced by Dirty Mo Media and was founded by Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Mike Davis in 2013. Griffin spent nearly a decade with the production house before deciding to part ways. He encapsulated his experience and wrote:
"Thank you, listeners. I’ve had a blast on this journey and my goal was simple - share the knowledge and experiences I’ve had during my career. Let’s laugh and learn as we go and we did just that. Ep 355 was my last. ❤️ "
The last podcast of Dale Earnhardt Jr.'s co-founded production house focused on the 2024 season recap. The podcasters discussed how Joey Logano secured his third championship title with the season's lowest average finish of any championship and the current NASCAR playoff format.
“When you aren’t paying attention”: Dale Earnhardt Jr.'s production house on pace car crash at Phoenix race
NASCAR Hall of Famer Dale Earnhardt Jr.'s Dirty Mo Media expressed their views on the pace car incident from the season's final race at Phoenix Raceway on November 10, 2024.
During lap 69 of the Championship Four race, the pace car missed the entrance to the pit roads and made contact with water barriers on the track. The pace car nearly evaded the Hendrick Motorsports driver Chase Elliott while taking a sudden left turn to enter the pits.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.'s podcast criticized the odd event that could potentially cause a wreck in Elliott's final race:
"When you aren’t paying attention on the highway and your exit is RIGHT NOW TURN NOW GO 🗺️"
Fortunately, the pace car didn't make contact with the #9 Chevy Camaro driver, avoiding a major wreck in the final race. NASCAR then used the backup pace car for the remaining Cup Series Championship Race.
Joey Logano won the 2024 final race after a hiatus of two years and secured his third title, showcasing his dominance on the track and leading 107 laps in the 312-lap race. He defeated the defending champion and his teammate Ryan Blaney. Team Penske dominated the Cup Series for the third time in a row.
