Denny Hamlin recently touched upon his bucket list destination earlier this month. Hamlin sat with The Athletic's Jeff Gluck for a '12 Questions' interview where he spoke about NASCAR and everything around the sport, including his success.

Gluck asked him about the number one thing on his bucket list, to which the NASCAR star revealed his globetrotting intentions. Hamlin revealed Europe was the number one destination on his bucket list.

"I’m going to do it by the time this comes out: Go visit Europe," Hamlin said (via The Athletic). "I’ve never gotten to do that, so I want to go check it out. I’m gonna bounce around. Italy, Greece, and a few other places."

NASCAR had a two-week break because of the Summer Olympics held in Paris, France. Hamlin and his family, along with Michael Jordan, co-owner of 23XI Racing, visited Europe for a 'much-needed' vacation.

Jordan Fish, Hamlin's wife, posted their vacation photos on Instagram.

The Joe Gibbs Racing driver experienced a tough race last weekend in the Cook Out 400 at Richmond Raceway where he narrowly missed victory.

Denny Hamlin was having a decent race until Austin Dillon's controversial move in the final lap which knocked him and Logano into the wall as the RCR driver took the lead in the race. Logano and Hamlin criticized the move in their post-race comments after Dillon won the race.

Denny Hamlin was born in Tampa, Florida in 1980, and moved to Chesterfield, Virginia when he was two years old. In 1988, Hamlin began racing go-karts.

Looking back at his childhood, Hamlin stated in the same interview:

"It was a central home for a lot of the asphalt Late Model Stock racing I used to do. There were so many tracks (nearby). And I liked it because there was one street right down the middle called Hull Street, (Route) 360."
"Everything you need is on that street. I enjoyed watching it grow up through my years. From when I was about 8, there was not much on Hull Street. Now it’s car dealerships, restaurants; everything you want is still on that street. And it’s also where we had our family trailer business," he added.

The #11 driver entered NASCAR in 2004 when he joined Joe Gibbs Racing on a driver development contract. As of the 2024 Cook Out 400 race at Richmond Raceway, he has 54 victories under his belt in 671 races.
