Two-time NASCAR Cup Series champion Kyle Busch recently shared his thoughts on what has been a rather underwhelming 2024 season. Busch has yet to win a single race this season, raising questions about his playoff hopes.

The #48 driver, Busch, sits 104 points behind the playoff cut-line with only seven regular season races remaining. Although Busch is known to have a celebrated racing career, the Richard Childress Racing driver has had a struggle-filled 2024 season and has failed to win a race in his last 40 appearances.

In an interview ahead of the Grant Park 165, Kyle Busch was asked about the inconsistencies in his performances. Here's how he responded.

"I've stopped keeping track, It’s been so dismal and so heartbreaking that I have a hard time dealing with enough stuff in my life that every Sunday to keep adding to it is getting harder and harder to deal with," [02:54]

Furthermore, Busch was asked whether there would be any more changes coming in at RCR after Andy Petree's retirement and what the team is doing to bring better results. He said:

"Richard and I have had some discussions on some stuff and just trying to get better, trying to push in every area that we possibly can. Body shop, chassis shop, assembly, the competition side, the engineering side you know, all of that stuff, and making sure that we're doing all the best we can and understanding the information that we have." "Just gotta keep going on in the next week, and keep fighting on...and try to score a win, hopefully before the playoffs, and if not before the playoffs, at least in the playoffs," he added. [03:08]

Kyle Busch remains hopeful despite setbacks, emphasizing the need for a collective effort to overcome this season's underwhelming performance. As the regular season wraps up, Kyle Busch and RCR will be in the public eye, aiming for a much-needed resurgence.

Kevin Harvick on Kyle Busch's struggle at RCR

Kevin Harvick did not shy away from sharing his thoughts on Kyle Busch's 2024 season. Busch is arguably going through the toughest period of his racing career thus far, sitting in P17 in the driver standings.

In the latest episode of "Harvick's Happy Hour," Kevin Harvick discussed Kyle Busch's streak of bad luck. Here's what Harvick said:

"He is on the worst bad luck cycle of anyone on the circuit right now. It is bad. Don't go around Kyle Busch right now, because if you want bad luck, don't get around that guy because he is plagued with bad luck."

Harvick then shared his views on how Busch has been doing everything right, taking up the incident with Kyle Larson in Nashville as an example and eventually deducting his misfortunes to simply a run of bad luck.
