In a recent conversation, Dale Earnhardt Jr. on his podcast, revealed the list of places he wanted to visit with his wife, Amy Earnhardt, along with their kids. Additionally, Dale Jr. also talked about the urge to revisit a couple of countries where he went with NASCAR legend Dale Earnhardt.
During an Ask Dale Jr. segment, the NASCAR Hall of Famer was asked about a country he would want to visit and the reason behind it. To which Dale Jr. replied (4:33):
"New Zealand. I always hear it's amazing. Having been to Australia and connected with some folks from that area. You hear, 'Well you got to go to New Zealand, you know it's amazing, beautiful.' So that might be cool. I've never been to Alaska."
Dale Jr., who is worth $300 million (according to Celebrity Net Worth), continued by claiming that he has been to all the other states for one or the other reason, but nothing has "drawn" him to Alaska.
The 49-year-old then elaborated on the places he has been to and wants to revisit. He said (6:37):
"I've got a couple of places that I've been to that I want to go back to badly... Two - Japan and Australia. I went to Australia with TJ [Majors] and a bunch of friends in 2006."
"I really want to take Amy. I would take my girls as well. So it'd be a family trip but I want Amy to see how cool Australia is and how nice and great the people are there." Dale Jr. added.
Former NASCAR driver Dale Jr. married Amy Earnhardt on New Year's Eve in 2016 and the couple are parents to two daughters, Isla and Nicole Earnhardt.
Dale Jr. then continued the conversation by reminiscing about the time he went to Motegi, Japan for a race with his father, the seven-time Cup Series champion. He said (7:02):
"I went to Japan to race with dad in '99 in Motegi. I really loved it. I had fun seeing the countryside and seeing a whole different way to live and it was a great experience... Maybe that's a trip where me and Amy go together."
However, Dale Jr.'s list didn't end here. He then claimed he hadn't seen a lot of Europe and wanted to go to a tiny little town in Switzerland, like in a "fairy tale".
"Just like dad," - Amy Earnhardt drew a parallel to a bad habit of Dale Earnhardt Jr. to the latter's father
Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Amy have known each other for more than a decade. The couple met when Junior hired Amy and her interior design firm to work for Dale Jr.'s Kannapolis house in North Carolina.
In a recent conversation on the Dale Jr. Download podcast, the couple revealed each other's "bad habit". Amy said:
"It's blowing your nose in the bath towel. He dries himself off and then honks his nose as loud as a goose into the towel...Here’s the thing about said towel. He will hang it back up. So if you don't know if it's your towel, or his towel because they all look the same."
Dale Jr. in his defense admitted that he's "trying to stop". However, he recalled his father, Dale Earnhardt Sr's routine of making the same noise from the other end of the house but couldn't confirm if the latter blew his nose on the bath towel or if it was something else. In response to this recollection, Amy said:
"Just like dad."
