As NASCAR arrived in Chicago, Illinois for the 20th Cup Series race of the season, Samantha Busch, the wife of two-time Cup Series champion Kyle Busch, announced the launch of her exclusive Shady Rays sunglasses. Samantha Busch is a brand partner for the U.S.-based lifestyle eyewear company specializing in polarized sunglasses for men, women and kids.
Samantha is often seen wearing Shady Rays anti-breakage sunglasses. However, it's not just Samantha who loves wearing these shades. Even her 2-year-old daughter, Lennix has been spotted flaunting them on her dad's race days.
Here is a post from the Shady Rays official Instagram account that shows little Lennix wearing a pair of cool-looking, white Shady Rays sunglasses:
Recently, Samantha Busch and Shady Rays launched their premium quality, custom-designed, race-inspired sunglasses. Elated to be able to announce the news in her hometown, Samantha took to her Instagram Stories to share a video of herself in the Windy City.
"I'm back here in my hometown of Chicago for the big NASCAR race and I am so excited. But not only am I excited for the race, I am also very excited for my exclusive custom-designed glasses with Shady Rays. I have worked so hard on these. I think that they're very cool, race-inspired while also being very girly, so very true to who I am," she says in the clip.
The best part about these sunglasses, explained the 38-year-old entrepreneur, is that even if one puts them into one's hair, they don't get tangled and come off easily. Moreover, they also feature specially crafted nose pieces that prevent unwanted nose marks.
Besides being a brand partner for Shady Rays, Samantha Busch is a public figure and an advocate of IVF. She is the author of "Fighting Infertility: Finding My Inner Warrior Through Trying to Conceive, IVF, and Miscarriage", a book that gives the readers a look at her struggles with infertility and miscarriage. She currently has over 200,000 followers on Instagram.

The Grant Park 165 was delayed by 1 hour 43 minutes due to the rain. Furthermore, the race was brought to a halt after Stage 1 ended under caution. The drivers took to the track after 7 p.m. and as reported by Block Club Chicago, NASCAR announced that the race would end at 8:20 p.m., regardless of the number of laps completed by then.
As the crew members wiped off the water droplets from the cars, little Lennix was seen wiping the look-through glass of the watch panel above the 2.2-mile, 12-turn road course. Here is a screenshot of Samantha Busch's story that shows Lennix enthusiastically wiping the water off with a tissue.
Lennix's dad, Kyle Busch started the race 19th alongside Spire Motorsports driver Corey LaJoie, who qualified 20th. Kyle Busch is yet to win this year. His last win was on April 23, 2023 at Talladega Superspeedway.
Reflecting on the missed opportunities this season, the Richard Childress Racing driver said (via racer.com),
"I’ve stopped keeping track. It’s been so dismal and so heartbreaking that I have a hard time dealing with enough stuff in my life that every Sunday to keep adding to it is getting harder and harder to deal with."
As of today (July 8), Busch is 17th on the Cup Series standings with 423 points. However, he is 19th in the playoffs picture and over 100 points below the cutline.
