Kyle Busch recently revealed that the preparation that he had done for this year's Tulsa Shootout with his son, Brexton Busch, was different to what he had done the previous year. The change in preparation resulted in a win for Brexton and he took home the Golden Driller trophy for the first time.

Kyle is one of NASCAR's most accomplished figures. He is known as "Rowdy" for his aggressive style and demeanor on the track. He has won the NASCAR Cup Series twice (one in 2015 and the other in 2019) and his career boasts the most wins in the top three NASCAR Series with 231.

Kyle Busch is also the first driver in NASCAR history to have won at least one race on every track he has competed in. The Nevada native also holds the record of the longest streak of winning at least one race in every season with 19.

The 39-year-old recognized the mistake he was making while preparing Brexton for the race. He revealed via a call to Jeff Gluck of the New York Times that he was telling his son what can go wrong during a race like that which made him think too much.

"Because if it doesn’t happen, then I’m wrong and I’m an idiot, Race car drivers are best when they don’t think; they’re best when they just react. A couple years ago, I had him thinking too much. I was like, ‘You have to stop thinking. You just have to do,'" said Kyle Busch.

To fix the problem that the 9-year-old was going through while racing at the Tulsa Shootout, Busch presented him with a variety of scenarios instead of telling him what was likely to happen when he turned the engine on. Busch said that he was taking Brexton up and down the country to find the best competition for the young racer.

"The rest of the kids, you have no idea who they are, how good they are, what they’re thinking, how they’re going to react, When I go to a Cup race, you race against all these professionals. More often than not, you’re looking at them thinking, ‘OK, how can I beat them?’ not, ‘What crazy move are they going to make that throws me off?’”

Brexton Busch claimed victory at the Tulsa Shootout, securing his first Junior Sprint Golden Driller. This milestone marks the beginning of an exciting journey for the young driver, with fans eagerly hoping he can follow in the footsteps of his father, Kyle Busch, a renowned NASCAR legend.
