Amanda Wallace, 23XI Racing driver Bubba Wallace's wife, recently celebrated her baby shower. Marking her presence at the celebration was Julia Piquet.
It's been three months since Bubba and Amanda Wallace announced their pregnancy on social media. Their baby boy is expected to step into the world later in October 2024. Recently, Wallace held her baby shower, receiving various gifts from loved ones.
Julia Piquet, Trackhouse Racing driver Daniel Suarez's fiancee, was also present at the celebration.
Amanda also shared a sweater she received as a gift. It said "Asher's NEW BEST FRIEND," Asher is the Wallaces' pet dog they adopted back in 2020.
Bubba Wallace and Amanda have been together after meeting each other back in 2015 during the Daytona 500. Wallace invited Amanda Carter to Las Vegas during the NASCAR summer break, and it was around that time the two started dating. They got engaged in June 2021, and married on New Year's Eve later that year.
In April, Amanda announced their pregnancy on Instagram, she wrote:
"Spring has sprung. Summer will be rad. Fall is the first time, we’ll be mom and dad!"
Amanda Wallace reveals Bubba would "cheat" in school during Spanish class
Although the couple met for the first time on proper terms in 2015, they have known each other since high school. In an interview with People last year, Amanda Wallace reminisced of the time when she was schoolmates with Bubba Wallace.
She revealed that the two were together in Spanish class, and Bubba would often try to "cheat."
"We were in Spanish class in high school, and we sat near each other," Amand said. "I don't remember first meeting, but he would always try to cheat. We were friends. There was three or four of us that did all of our projects together and he always would try to cheat off my exams because I was much smarter than he was!"
While they did not talk much in high school, the two share a beautiful relationship now. Amanda Wallace can regularly be seen around the track during the race weekends, supporting her husband through thick and thin.
Bubba Wallace, meanwhile, is making his way through the 2023 Cup Series season. He has had a decent run but his chances to qualify in the playoffs look tough. With five races to go for the playoffs, he is right on the edge sitting in 17th place. He is 45 points short of Chris Buescher. The 23XI Racing driver needs to win a race to lock his place in the top 16.
