In Photos: Austin Dillon spends Thanksgiving with family as wife Whitney emphasizes capturing joyful moments

NASCAR driver Austin Dillon celebrated Thanksgiving with his wife, Whitney Ward Dillon, their children and other members of their family. Dillon currently competes in the Cup Series for his grandfather's team, Richard Childress Racing (RCR). He got married to Whitney in December 2017.

Whitney is a lifestyle blogger and runs a jewelry brand called Shop the WM. She shared photos from their celebration on her Instagram, where she has over 212 thousand followers.

Austin and Whitney first met in 2015 and got engaged around a year later. They now have two children, Ace and Blaize. Whitney, who is a former NFL cheerleader and model, also shared a quote about enjoying the present and capturing memories.

"Tell your people you love them. Take lots of photos and videos. Remind them what they mean to you. Hug them like tomorrow isn’t promised. And be present in your moments of joy. One day, these will be the memories that light your darkest days," the quote read.

Meanwhile, Austin Dillon completed his 10th full-time season in the Cup Series with one win and five top-10 finishes. He finished in 32nd place in the final standings this year.

Dillon broke a 68-race winless streak this season at Richmond Raceway where he spun out Joey Logano and Denny Hamlin during the final lap. After the controversial win in August, NASCAR penalized Dillon and took away 25 points and his playoff spot.

Moreover, he and Ross Chastain were again penalized for manipulating the final playoff race at Martinsville. They were fined $100,000 and lost 50 points. His crew chief, Justin Alexander, was suspended for the Phoenix race.

RCR hired a new crew chief for the No. 3 car last week. Richard Boswell, who previously worked at Stewart-Haas Racing, will replace Alexander for the next season.

Austin Dillon's wife, Whitney recently shared a video where he got a smile makeover in Texas. Their four-year son, Ace and one-year-old daughter, Blaize also accompanied them during the process.

"Smile makeover by Dr. Davis 🦷 Wait til the end to see a million dollar smile," wrote Whitney.

Dillon won the 2011 Truck Series and 2013 Xfinity Series championships. He has five Cup Series wins, including the Daytona 500 in 2018 and the Coca-Cola 600 in 2017. The 34-year-old also runs a bull-riding team.

Austin Dillon's father, Mike Dillon also used to race for Richard Childress Racing in all three main NASCAR series. He now works as the general manager for the team.
