The next photo shows a plate with food in Danica’s hand. There is no text to go with this one but it does play well into her fun day with her dogs in the next one.
In the follow-up to this story, Patrick shows the plate, now with half-eaten food, while her two dogs, Ella and Dallas, and a Shih Tzu, stand in front of her looking at the plate expectantly. To further give context, Danica captioned it by saying:
“They know I am weak”
The next story shows Patrick sitting with Ella and the Shih Tzu on her lap, with the caption:
“I don’t even have food anymore”
In the final one, Patrick shared a playful interaction with her Husky, Dallas where she can be seen lying on her back, in Danica’s lap while she rubs the dog’s belly. Humorously, Patrick captioned this one by saying how Dallas has graced her with her presence.
“Dallas is gracing me with her presence because I begged,” she wrote.

"I must have been a stray dog in another life"- Danica Patrick on her bond with animals
In an episode of her podcast – The Pretty Intense Podcast, Patrick talked about her connection with animals, especially dogs. In conversation with esteemed author, award-winning animal communicator, and pet loss specialist, Karen Anderson, she revealed how she was more likely to cry over a dog on Instagram rather than a human.
She also shared a spiritual experience she had during her trip to Tulum, Mexico, where she had an interaction with a stray on the beach. She shared how there was one particular dog named Lucy who came to her whenever she let go of her desire to see her.
"It was in Tulum, Mexico. There was a dog, [on] the beach there's lots of stranded dogs and there was one that came around. First day we were on the beach and and it was so cute and I just named this one Lucy. And I really wanted to see Lucy all the time and when I would release sort of that grip on wanting so much all of a sudden, she'd appear. It'd be like an energetic experience," she said [5:29 onwards].
In reference to her particular quote about her being a stray dog, Patrick talked about how she always feels hungry. She also explained how she feels for stray dogs and that she could understand the loneliness they must feel.
"I think I must have been a stray dog in another life cuz, one, I feel like, I'm always hungry and two, I feel for them so much and the loneliness," she added. [6:10 onwards]
