Gianna Tulio recently gave a thumbs up to her soon-to-be sister-in-law Erin Blaney's outfit in a social media post. Tulio is set to marry the reigning Cup Series champion Ryan Blaney later this year.
Team Penske driver Blaney popped the question to Tulio after dating for almost three years in December 2023. Tulio is a professional model and rose to fame after winning the 2021 Miss Hooters International. She is now the modeling ambassador for Hooters in America.
In all admiration for Blaney's sister, Erin, and her timeless blue dress, Tulio showed appreciation to her in a post on Instagram. Erin Blaney captioned her post by:
"Happy Monday here is me in a dress that I love."
Tulio then complimented Erin by commenting:
"Okay this dress was made for YOUU."
While Blaney was preparing for the 2024 playoff rounds, Tulio was spotted in a ski resort in Aspen, Colorado for the wedding food tastings. They are set to marry around the same time when they got engaged last year.
Ryan Blaney once revealed how he forgot to ask Gianna Tulio's parents for permission to marry
In a conversation with Jeff Gluck and Jordan Bianchi of The Teardown podcast, Team Penske driver Ryan Blaney recalled his anxious moment before popping the question to Gianna Tulio.
In the interview, Blaney shared a hilarious story when he forgot to ask Tulio's dad for his permission to propose. He said:
"I didn't ask her dad until we were about to get on the plane. I have a great relationship with her dad; he's awesome. I love him, but I was like, Oh man, I forgot to call her dad; I'm like, Hey Mr. Tulio, you know, I'm about to get on this plane, and I just had a question I was wanting to ask you before I asked Gianna, here in a handful of days," [5:25].
The 30-year-old Blaney further added:
"I was going to ask Gianna to marry me; I just wanted to make sure it was okay with you. ‘He was like, you know, Ryan, let me think about it for a couple days.’ I was like, "Alright, ‘he was like, I’m messing with you, of course; he’s a jokester, but yeah, I almost forgot to do that, like you have to ask her parents."
The couple officially made their engagement public through a joint Instagram post. Blaney surprised her then-girlfriend on a picturesque snow-covered bridge in Leavenworth, Washington. Their caption stated:
"12•12•23 I said yes to my forever 🕊️"
On the other, Blaney is on the run for this second consecutive Cup Series championship title. After qualifying in the Round of 16, the Ohio native is placed fifth in the playoff picture and is 11 points above the cutline.
