NASCAR driver Zane Smith’s wife McCall shared pictures of her pre-vacation prep and dropped hints about the location on social media.
Smith is set to drive Front Row Motorsports' No. 38 Ford Mustang this year, after competing full-time in the Cup Series for the first time last year. The 25-year-old has raced in the No. 38 car for six Cup races while competing full-time in the Craftsman Truck Series in 2023.
Zane Smith married McCall in January last year after being together since their teen years. McCall, who is a former dancer, is active on social media with over 12,000 followers. She had previously teased about their first wedding anniversary trip on Instagram, writing:
"It's finally our delayed honeymoon/anniversary trip week starting off the week strong with the gym and sauna session.
In her latest stories, McCall shared a series of pictures hinting at the location of her vacation.
"Pre beach tan," McCall wrote.
She also posted a picture of her jewelry and wrote:
"Definitely going somewhere cold, can't you tell?"
McCall later shared a picture of herself at 5:30 am and a passport photo before heading off for her flight.
NASCAR will return to action at the exhibition race, Cook Out Clash in Winston-Salem, North Carolina on February 12. The regular season will start with the 2025 Daytona 500 at Daytona International Speedway four days later.
"I can’t catch a break here" - Zane Smith on a tough debut NASCAR Cup Series season
Zane Smith won the 2022 championship with Front Row Motorsports (FRM). He moved to the Cup Series with Trackhouse Racing last year and was later loaned to Spire Motorsports. He finished the season in 30th place, one of the last among full-time drivers.
Smith talked about feeling like he lost three years of his career in 2024 and said that he was surprised when he got fired but received a call from Bob Jenkins. FRM signed him in the Cup Series for the 2025 season with teammates Noah Gragson and Todd Gilliland.
Zane Smith also mentioned the difficult situation with the lawsuit:
"I thought he was just interested in talking about the Truck Series but after going back-and-forth and realizing what he was putting together, I signed within a week. I’m not educated enough on the lawsuit to offer an opinion on it but I knew enough then to realize that it was getting tense with the charter stuff. Once FRM and 23XI filed the lawsuit, I thought, ‘man, I can’t catch a break here." (via Sportsnaut)
FRM and 23XI Racing filed an anti-trust lawsuit against NASCAR in October last year over the new charter agreements.
