The NASCAR stars have arrived at this year’s Awards Banquet in Charlotte. NASCAR took to Instagram and shared some moments from the red carpet graced by Joey Logano, Dale Earnhardt Jr., and Chase Elliott, among others.
For the first time since its inception, the NASCAR Awards Banquet is held in Charlotte, North Carolina, deemed home of the stock car racing league. The event was previously held in New York from 1981 to 2008, Las Vegas from 2009 to 2018, and Nashville from 2019 to 2023.
Per NASCAR’s Instagram, Joey Logano walked the red carpet alongside his wife Brittany Baca while holding the 2024 championship trophy. Logano wore a black and white suit while Brittany donned a dark green strapless dress.
Dale Earnhardt Jr. joined the banquet with his wife Amy Reimann, with the couple wearing black-themed outfits. Meanwhile, Chase Elliott arrived with a black and white suit as he received the NASCAR’s Most Popular Driver award.
Last year’s NASCAR champ, Ryan Blaney, attended the banquet with his fiancée Gianna Tulio wo wore a shining brown dress. Tyler Reddick also walked the carpet with his wife Alexa DeLeon, with the No. 45 23XI Racing rocking a pair of white sneakers.
Other NASCAR stars who took part in the red carpet show were Cup Series Rookie of the Year Carson Hocevar, Xfinity Series champion Justin Allgaier, and Truck Series champion Ty Majeski.
Joey Logano made his feelings known coming to the Awards Banquet as champion
Joey Logano arrived at the 2024 NASCAR Awards Banquet as the Cup Series champion. With a championship-winning season, Logano shared feeling more positive about attending the banquet, saying it is a “bit more enjoyable.”
Speaking with Jessie Punch on the Awards Banquet red carpet, Logano said [starting 1:03:01]:
“I’m feeling pretty good. I’m going to probably feel even better later tonight.”
When asked what it’s like joining the event as the champion, the No. 22 Ford pilot replied:
“It’s a fun night. It’s fun to get to see everybody and reminisce of the season a little bit. But as a champion rolling in here, it’s always a bit more enjoyable, for sure.”
Joey Logano also appreciated NASCAR moving the event to North Carolina as many in attendance live within the state.
“That’s the nice part about being in Charlotte, is that everybody’s close by, so the party is going to be a little larger than what it was in Nashville last time but that’s good… the more the merrier.”
With Joey Logano emerging as the 2024 NASCAR Cup Series champion, the 34-year-old Team Penske driver is now a three-time title holder. He won his first championship in 2018 and his second title in 2022.
Logano is the 10th driver to win three or more championships in the premier series. The driver is one of the six three-time Cup Series champs along with Lee Petty, David Pearson, Cale Yarborough, Darrell Waltrip, and Tony Stewart.
