Danica Patrick donned a silk multicolor outfit at the paddock during practice ahead of the F1 Grand Prix of Mexico. The former NASCAR and IndyCar driver was spotted alongside her Sky Sports F1 broadcasting team at the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez in Mexico City.
Patrick, a 2008 Indy Japan 300 winner, made a fashion statement wearing a cream-white silk shirt and shorts. Her outfit had floral and animal prints combined with decorative motifs. The 42-year-old complimented her attire with casual white sneakers.
On her social media account, Patrick shared pictures with her broadcasting team as she showcased her fashion.
"Us girls don’t have any fun. 😜 🇲🇽 🏎️," captioned Patrick on Instagram.
Moreover, the Wisconsin native was snapped together with locals who dressed up for the upcoming Dia de los Muertos, also known as The Day of the Dead, a Mexican tradition to honor and pay respects to members of their family and friends who have died.
"Dia De Los Muertos coming up makes for fun sights here in Mexico City!" Danica Patrick wrote on Instagram.
Patrick is considered to be one of the most successful female racecar drivers. She marked her presence in the world of motorsports with an IndyCar Series race win and became the first female driver to ever sit on a pole in NASCAR's esteemed Daytona 500 race.
Since her full-time retirement in 2017, she has established an athleisure clothing line and a vineyard in Napa Valley, California. Apart from her broadcasting appearances, Patrick also runs her weekly podcast show and has been known to be quite open about her political stance.
"It's like rational, reasonable choice": Danica Patrick states her reason for voting for Donald Trump to make "America great again"
Sky Sports F1 pundit Danica Patrick claimed this was the first time she voted in the US presidential election. Moreover, she said that she voted for the Republican party candidate Donald Trump.
"I am passionate because it feel like voting for Donald Trump is like the vote of reason, it’s the rational, reasonable choice. I feel like most of all though what this country could be if he gets into office— with all of the amazing, brilliant people that are supporting him— I feel like it could not only make America great again, but make America greater than it’s ever been," Danica Patrick said on Fox News.
She also spoke about how Trump can go unscripted like giving out happy meals for McDonald's Drive-thru and is the "man amongst the people."
However, thanks in part to her politcal stance, Patrick faced fan backlash on X as she covered the Mexico City Grand Prix.
