After achieving success in IndyCar, Formula E, and Extreme E, Andretti Global is looking at expanding its presence in the world of Formula 1. In addition to F1, the Michael Andretti-owned team is now planning to enter NASCAR as well.

Over the past few years, Andretti Global (formerly Andretti Autosport) has been making a mark in several forms of motorsports. Under the leadership of its owner and the iconic Formula 1 racer, the team has become competitive not just in IndyCar, but also in Formula E.

Since the announcement of 2026 regulations in Formula 1, Andretti and JF Thormann (president of Andretti Global) have been pushing to enter the F1 grid with an all-new team.

Although there has not been concrete development from the FIA under the upcoming F1 Concorde Agreement, the US-based outfit has already invested heavily in a 40,000 Sq. ft facility at Silverstone, and also roped in Pat Symonds as the team's chief technical officer.

While things are yet to move in the right direction in F1, the team is now planning to move into NASCAR as well.

"We're the only ones that compete in the amount of series that we do. And then the ambition that Mike still has – we still have to close the loop obviously with Formula 1, that's well-documented – and hopefully NASCAR. Then we're going to have a race virtually every weekend and it'll keep our name out there and keep us busy." Thormann said, elaborating on the team's future endeavors (0:00 onwards).
