Retired NASCAR legend Tony Stewart has made quite the living over his lengthy career in motorsports, both as a driver and an owner. The three-time NASCAR Cup Series champion driver is worth $90 million, according to Celebrity Net Worth.
In a YouTube video by Indianapolis Motor Speedway that premiered in March 2022, the co-owner of Stewart-Haas Racing got to show off his luxurious home in his native city of Columbus, Indiana.
At the beginning of the 22-minute video, Doug Boles, President of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, greets the 49-time Cup Series race-winning driver in his basement. At the 1:18 mark, the video shows the 53-year-old's collection of pinball machines, to which the 2014 Cup Series champion owner explained how he's a kid at heart.
"I told Leah [Pruett] when we got married that she was marrying a 14-year-old," Stewart said. "Which she figured out really quick was really accurate, but I love video games, I love pinball machines, pinball games" (1:29).
Tony Stewart's basement also holds a pool table that the champion driver said got from a Colorado company, adding that its wooden make fits well with the log home theme of his house. The Indiana native said he's friends with pro billiard players Jeanette Lee and Shannon Daulton, adding at the 2:35 mark that they "annihilate" him in pool when they've been to his home.
The basement also features a "signature wall" at the 4:59 mark, which is a wall made up of many signatures of those who have been to Stewart's home, ranging from kids who have participated in charity hunts of the Catch-A-Dream organization, owners of major corporations, race car drivers, and other professional athletes.
Next, at the 6:05 mark, Stewart and Boles walk through the saloon doors, where the current NHRA drag racer has various arcade games, a room that he said was supposed to be a poker room, but ended up being a place to store the games due to space purposes.
The two then make their way to the other side of the basement at the 7:30 mark, where Stewart has a plethora of helmets behind glass and a 1997 IndyCar chassis mounted on the wall. The former 18-year Cup Series veteran said most of the helmets of his 350+ collection are racing ones, but some are from other sports, such as football and hockey. He added:
"Most of them are racing helmets, obviously, but this wall where all the helmets are back here. ... wasn't even designed to be for helmets. We actually designed it to be a trophy case and then once we realized we had more helmets than trophies, we decided to switch it up and make it a trophy case" (8:01).
Boles and Stewart made their way over to his bowling alley, which is also in the basement. Stewart said they've had multiple sponsorship events with his bowling alley, which included an event by Go Bowling, who's the title sponsor of the Cup Series race at Watkins Glen. The two each have a turn at bowling as the video ends.
