The drivers of the NASCAR Cup Series are scheduled to be at the two-mile-long D-shaped oval track on Sunday, August 18, as the action at the season’s 24th racing weekend continues at the Michigan International Speedway.

In Saturday’s (August 17) Cup Series qualifying, Denny Hamlin claimed his fourth NASCAR Cup Series pole of the season to lead the 36-driver field to the green flag at Michigan. The FireKeepers Casino 400 is scheduled to begin on Sunday at 2:30 pm ET.

RFK Racing’s Chris Buescher, who won last year’s FireKeepers Casino 400 at Michigan, will look to win again this weekend.

The weather forecast for Sunday in Michigan predicts a high temperature of 75 degrees Fahrenheit and a 38 percent chance of rain at the time of FireKeepers Casino 400.
