NASCAR Cup Series drivers are scheduled to be at the 0.526-mile short oval track on Sunday, November 3, as the action at the season’s ninth playoff racing weekend continues at Martinsville Speedway.
In Saturday’s (Nov. 3) Cup Series qualifying, Joe Gibbs Racing veteran Martin Truex Jr. claimed his first Cup Series pole of the season to lead the 37-driver field to the green flag at 0.526-mile Martinsville track.
The defending NASCAR Cup Series champion Ryan Blaney, who won last year’s Xfinity 500, will look to win again this weekend to earn his Championship 4 berth.
The weather forecast for Sunday at Martinsville is mostly cloudy skies with a high temperature of 64 degrees and no chance of rain at the time of the Xfinity 500.
