Ever since the news of Stewart Haas Racing shutting up shop has surfaced, the driver market in NASCAR has been quite volatile. With the 2024 regular season almost in the books, legendary driver Kenny Wallace and NASCAR commentator and enthusiast Charlie Marlow discussed the future of Kyle Busch in the Cup Series.

Busch has had a few rocky seasons in the past few years. The Richard Childress Racing driver has managed to win just six races since 2021. The Nevada-based racer's 2024 season has been quite disappointing, with just two Top 5 and six Top 10 finishes so far. With slim chances of reaching the 2024 playoffs, Busch will likely be focusing on his next season.

Meanwhile, Spire Motorsports made two big announcements recently. They roped in the legendary crew chief Rodney Childers for the #7 car and have decided to part ways with veteran driver Corey LaJoie at the end of the 2024 Cup Series season. With no driver announced as LaJoie's replacement yet, fans are speculating that Spire Motorsports might try to woo Kyle Busch in for the #7 team.

Kenny Wallace and Charlie Marlow opened up about the topic during a recent podcast episode. During the conversation, Marlow questioned Wallace on whether Busch would move to Spire Motorsport.

"I really don't know who's gonna go over there to Spire. I mean, if I'm to believe people, so far, here's what I'll say, I'll end it like this. It would be shocking news if Kyle Busch went to Spire. Just because I know Richard Childress is a gamer. He ain't gonna let nobody walk all over him," Wallace replied, explaining the situation (0:38 onwards).

Here's a look at the video clip from the podcast on YouTube:

"I think Richard knows that his cars need work and he's got the driver to win. So Richard Childress has gotta go to work. That's what I have to say that's controversial. Richard Childress has gotta go to work. So it's just gonna depend how much patience Kyle Busch has," He further added (1:05 onwards).

"They got a lot of money," Kenny Wallace on why Spire Motorsports would be right for Kyle Busch next year

The world of NASCAR has been quite volatile over the past few months. A lot of drivers and crew members have been making changes.

With Spire Motorsports bringing in crew chief Rodney Childers, rumors of the team roping in a big driver for the #7 car have been floating around. Speaking on a recent podcast, Kenny Wallace explained why Spire Motorsports would be right for Kyle Busch.

"I'm just saying that Spire group, they got a lot of money. And we'll just go over it real quick. They own three cup teams, three truck teams, three hockey teams," Wallace said during the podcast.
