NASCAR legend Kevin Harvick's son Keelan won the 2024 Legend Car Asphalt Nationals championship. The 12-year-old budding racer expressed heartfelt appreciation for his parents in a video message on social media.

Keelan began his racing career at a young age. He won his first go-kart race in 2020 at the age of 8 at Trackhouse Motorplex. Over the years, Keelan has won several races in the Micro and Mini categories under the guidance of his father, a 60x race winner and Cup Series champion.

After winning the U.S. Legend Cars/INEX Road Course World Finals championship in 2023, Keelan took part in the Legend Car Asphalt Nationals Young Lions series this season. He won the driver's title, emerging victorious in 33 of the 57 races.

The young racer shared a heartfelt message for his parents, Kevin and DeLana, thanking them for their efforts and support through a reel on Instagram.

"Hey guys. We just won the national championship unofficially in Dominion. I can't thank Joe Ryan race cars enough. Hunt brothers, RealTree. I mean, everybody who puts hands on these cars, it wouldn't be possible without them. My mom, my dad. This it means a lot to me," Keelan said.
"I made a lot of mistakes last year, but we definitely have overcome a lot of stuff and I just thank Joe race cars again. And it's amazing," he added.

The reel was shared on Keelan's Instagram page with @joeryanracecars, @uslegendcars, @dominionraceway, and @khimanagement as collaborators. Here's a look at the post, captioned by U.S. Legend Cars:

"Keelan adding to the legacy! Building his own👊"

Apart from Instagram, Keelan reposted a U.S. Legend Cars' post on his X page. Take a look at the post:

By dominating about 58% of the Young Lions Asphalt series, the youngster showcased his dedication and hunger-to-win, much like Kevin Harvick did during his championship-winning era in NASCAR.

"First time in a full-body stock car!" - Keelan Harvick thanked his mentor after first run in a full-size stock car

Despite being just 12-year-old, Keelan Harvick drove a full-size stock car earlier this year. The son of former NASCAR Cup Series champion Kevin Harvick took to social media to thank his mentor, Ron Hornaday Jr., for the opportunity to test the #94 Chevrolet Monte Carlo race car.

Keelan shared his thoughts along with a video of him driving the full-body stock car. Here's a look at the post, captioned:

"First time in a full-body stock car! Thanks Mr. @ronhornadayjr and @VETSRacing for letting me take the street stock for a spin!"

As of now, the young racer has a total of 10 championships to his name in Karting and Legend Cars (Micro and Mini) combined. Considering his progress so far, Keelan is likely to enter the world full-size stock car racing circuit sooner than his father, Kevin Harvick.
