Hailie Deegan recently shared a light-hearted YouTube video of her youngest brother, Hudson, trying his hand on the go-kart track at GoPro Motorplex. Deegan’s brother experienced a mishap that quickly turned into a memorable story, but at the same time it did put forth her frustration as well.

Hailie Deegan, who is best known for racing in NASCAR, took a lap first herself and then chalked out the map for Hudson for better understanding of the track. She even gave him advice about how to drive Tag car. However, despite that, he wasn’t able to control it properly. Hudson kept going off the track and being spun out on turns.

After seeing all this from one end, Deegan lost his patience and said:

“It's going to be so bad. He didn’t listen about how to get on the track. Oh, we spun out. Holy shit. Okay, we made that corner. That's good. Dude, there's someone coming up on us, hauling ass. Don't do anything wild. Don't do anything wild. Oh no. Oh no. Dude, it's 360 over there. It's hilarious. Did you catch that? Oh, one more time.”

Hailie Deegan had two brothers, named Haiden and Hudson. Haiden Deegan is a professional AMA supercross and motocross racer. He won the AMA SMX 250 championship in 2023 and 2024. Her youngest brother Hudson has also competed in motocross.

“He’s going to come drive my tag car for the first time” – Hailie Deegan

At the beginning of a YouTube video, the former Xfinity driver talked about introducing her brother Chase to a higher-performance go-kart, giving him his first taste of competitive karting beyond the slower, recreational karts he’s used to driving at home.

Speaking on Hudson’s prior experience, Deegan said:

“I grabbed Chase’s gear for him and stuff, got my extra helmet, and he’s going to come drive my tag car for the first time… The ones at the house are significantly slower. So today, I’m putting him in my new tag car. Probably not the smartest idea, but he’ll have fun. I know he’ll enjoy it. He’ll probably wreck a few times—hopefully not too bad”.

Hailie Deegan parted ways with AM Racing in the mid-season of the 2024 NASCAR Xfinity Series season. Following that, the 23-year-old announced that she would be moving away from the NASCAR world to begin her Indy NXT journey in the 2025 season. She will compete in the #38 entry for HMD Motorsports, beginning with the 2025 Indy NXT season-opener at Streets of St. Petersburg on March 2.
