Three-time NASCAR Cup Series champion Tony Stewart has shared details about the Smoke Show. The annual event is held at the Texas Motor Speedway to raise money for children in the northeastern region of Texas, the United States of America.

Stewart-Haas Racing (SHR) co-owner Stewart has raised almost $2 million in the 14th year of the show. He recently took to X to express his excitement about raising funds for a good cause and helping the ones in need.

"Hey, everyone here at Texas Motor Speedway at the annual smoke show, this is our 14th year. Yes, I said it 14 years. It's a great number. By the way, the 14th year that we've been here raised a lot of money for Speedway children's charity is going to get close to the $2 million mark today. This has been a great event, and it obviously benefits a lot of great kids in northeast Texas and excited to be here, excited to be with people," Toney Stewart said. [00:05]

The former Indy Car Champion pointed out that many beginner drivers would participate in the event and that the show would focus on "what it's like to be a NASCAR Cup driver."

The Tony Stewart Smoke Show raises money for Speedway Children's Charities (SCC) who provide funding for several non-profit organizations throughout the US to help children in need.

Chase Elliot is "impressed" by Tony Stewart's legacy as a team owner in NASCAR

Stewart-Haas Racing (SHR), a team owned by Tony Stewart and Gene Haas, announced its exit from NASCAR at the end of the 2024 season. Chase Elliot recently expressed his thoughts on Stewart's legacy.

The SHR started its journey in 2002. In 2009, Stewart joined the team as a driver and an owner. The NASCAR Cup Series team competed in over 700 races over 22 years and won 70 of them. The team also won three championship titles, including two in the Cup Series and one in the Xfinity Series.

The legacy has impressed Hendrick Motorsports driver Chase Elliott, who said (via Cup Scene YouTube channel):

"My respect and admiration for Tony (Stewart) I think kind of raises my thought of that company and just what they did. I’ve always gotten along really well with him; looked up to him as a kid when I was watching him race. When I look at what they did through the course of however many years it’s been. It was really impressive to watch because at that point in time, there wasn’t a lot of driver-owners that had had success in the sport." [11:00]

The Chevy driver highlighted that Tony Stewart has led the team to success, leaving behind a remarkable legacy. Chase Briscoe, the driver of #14 Ford, is the only SHR driver in the NASCAR playoffs this season.
