Kyle Busch's wife Samantha Busch has given her two cents on why homeschooling is the go-to choice for their son Brexton. The nine-year-old is following in his father's footsteps leaving him little to no time to take classes in an educational institution.
Kyle Busch has contested for over two decades in NASCAR and has etched his name as one of the greatest drivers of all time, courtesy of his numerous wins across all national series- 63 in the Cup Series, 102 in the Xfinity Series, and 66 in the Truck Series. Moreover, the 39-year-old versatile driver competes in sprint car racing and late models to this date.
Brexton Busch naturally has a racing pedigree and hones his skills weekly by hitting the track for sprint car and late-model racing. The nine-year-old began racing in 2020 while he was five. Soon after his debut at the Beginner Box Stock division at Millbridge Speedway and Mountain Creek Speedway, Brexton grabbed his first-ever win at the Mountain Creek Speedway.
Amid all the hustle and bustle of the racing world, Samantha Busch's son barely gets any time to attend school and fill the academic gap caused by the tightly packed race weekdays. However, his mother has relied on at-home education since the beginning to ensure Brexton is up to date with his educational side as well.
But homeschooling comes with its own set of queries and Samantha Busch revealed that the biggest questions she gets about the same are how, why, and what the couple do for successful homeschooling.
"For us between Kyle's traveling, this one [Brexton] races five times this week. At-home education is just the way to go," she said via her Instagram story.
"As you know, racing is a huge part of our lives, at-home schooling has allowed our family to have a flexible schedule, which gives Brexton time to focus on his passions," Samantha's second story on the topic read.
"At-home schooling has allowed us to bring classes anywhere. We are constantly finding unique places on the road to make learning fun!" she added in her third story.
Mrs. Busch then explained about Connections Academy and how it can benefit Brexton's homeschooling.
"What I really like about it [Connections Academy], sometimes with homeschooling, it's kind of hard to get the social aspect. Obviously, he's [Brexton] racing so you get to see kids there but with Connections Academy, you could actually do in-person field trips which is great, and then online, he would connect with other students which is cool, and as a parent, you can connect with actual teachers...it's just the perfect fit," she said.
"So proud of him"- Samantha Busch after Brexton carried his family's legacy with his Charlotte Motor Speedway win
Brexton's father Kyle Busch and uncle Kurt Busch have exercised their dominance at the Charlotte Motor Speedway and this time, it was the third-generation driver who carried his family's legacy. The nine-year-old competed in the Bandolero Bandit A Feature 1, where he bagged his first win on the Speedway.
However, the triumphant moment didn't come easy to young Busch. After starting from fourth place in the 'Dad Vibes Night' event, the #18B driver battled against the odds and fended off competitors like Landon Thrasher, who finished second, and Jack Smith, who finished third, to secure his first win in Charlotte.
Moreover, Brexton even dethroned the polesitter Wyatt Coffey, who settled in fourth. After his race win, he opened up about what it means to win at Charlotte Motor Speedway, saying:
“It means a lot [to win at Charlotte]. These were my first laps led here in Bandits, and it’s my first win, so I am very happy to win here,” Brexton said after emerging victorious via WBTV.
Samantha Busch praised Brexton's victory and reacted with, "He did it!” and “So proud of him!” comments on her social media.
