Hailie Deegan's brother, Haiden, shared a video of him picking up a newly bought supercar. Deegan previously competed in the NASCAR Xfinity Series, while her brother is a Motocross and Supercross racer.
Coming from a family of racers, the brother-sister duo are the children of Brian Deegan, a prolific X Games rider and a motorsports legend.
In a recent YouTube video, Haiden uploaded a vlog of his visit to Atlanta to procure his first supercar, an Audi R8. He was accompanied by his mother, Marissa Leonti, co-owner of Deegan Motor Sports Company. After his test drive of the new purchase, Haiden had a very natural reaction to the V10 beast. The 18-year-old said:
"Dude, I think it's so loud. And I was in automatic and it was still loud. If you put in manual and put in paddles it's probably so loud." [4:02]
Meanwhile, it wasn't just Haiden who got his hands on a new automobile; his sister and former AM Racing driver Hailie shared a video of her new purchase last month.
"I'm super excited," - Hailie Deegan on her way to buy new go-karts
23-year-old Hailie Deegan discussed her plans to upgrade her old road course go-karts to a new one. Moreover, she planned on purchasing another go-kart for her boyfriend Chase Cabre, a former ARCA Menards Series driver.
In a YouTube video, Deegan shared an elated reaction while on her way to buy those road course go-karts. She said:
"Well guys, today’s pretty exciting because we are buying two road course go-karts. I’m super excited for it because I’ve had the same go-kart since 2015. The one that I had is absolutely trash." (00:38).
Furthermore, Deegan shared her plans for adjusting and adding weights to balance the karts. She said:
"We need to get some weight on mine so that we're more even coz it's same everything on the cart it's identical. But Chase is probably 40 pounds heavier than me, so we definitely put some weight on my car so we can even it up and I'm just not like pulling away from corners." (3:10)
After competing for three full-time seasons in the NASCAR Truck Series, Deegan climbed up the ranks and was in her rookie season in the Xfinity Series for AM Racing.
Deegan struggled in the Xfinity Series, finishing inside the top 20 just four times in 17 starts, despite showing caliber in the Truck Series.
As things stand, after the California native's mid-season exit from the Xfinity team there were speculations of her joining the newly formed Haas Factory Team. However, HFT later announced their Xfinity Series drivers, leaving Deegan with an uncertain NASCAR future.
