Veteran driver Dale Earnhardt Jr. shared his excitement as TNT returns to broadcasting NASCAR for the first time in a decade. Adam Alexander and Steve Letarte will join him on the coverage.

TNT Sports acquired the rights for coverage of the summer NASCAR races last year, with the contract going into effect from the next season. The last time that TNT broadcasted the sport was back in 2014. While they had many commentators between 2001 and 2014, most of them moved to NBC or Fox's coverage. Returning next season, TNT has a new lineup with Dale Earnhardt Jr, Adam Alexander, and Steve Letarte. The three come with immense experience to share their insights during races.

Dale Earnhardt Jr is currently the host of The Dale Jr. Download podcast and will make his voice heard all over the sport as he joins the commentary team.

"It’s so nostalgic to see TNT Sports return to NASCAR," Dale Earnhardt Jr. said. "I enjoyed watching their coverage back in the day. I’m looking forward to being a part of the team and working with Adam [Alexander] and [Steve] Letarte."

The three will also be joining Amazon Prime Video's broadcast in 2025. This is set to be the platform's first broadcast of the NASCAR Cup Series.

"I’m very excited to return to TNT Sports as they renew their coverage of NASCAR," Alexander said in a statement. "I have great respect for Dale and Steve and look forward to calling races with them."

Steve Letarte would bring his on-track experience to the broadcast as he prepares to join them as an analyst. Before his work in broadcasting, he worked with Hendrick Motorsports for twenty years between 1995 and 2014.

"I am looking forward to joining the team at TNT Sports and working alongside Dale Jr. again in the booth," Letarte said. "TNT has a long history of covering NASCAR and I am excited to contribute to that history next season when the green flag waves on TNT’s coverage in June."

Steve Letarte had also previously worked with Dale Earnhardt. Jr as his crew chief between 2011 and 2014. Also working with Jeff Gordon between 2005 and 2010, they achieved 10 victories together.

TNT will broadcast its first Cup Series race in Atlanta on the 28th of June, 2025. This will be followed by races in Chicago, Sonoma, Dover, and Indianapolis.
