Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels paid tribute to NASCAR driver Bubba Wallace by wearing Wallace’s 23XI bomber jacket ahead of last weekend’s game against the Philadelphia Eagles at the Northwest Stadium in Landover. NASCAR YouTuber Daniel Kriete reacted to this cross-sport collaboration on his YouTube channel.
Kriete expressed that Daniels’ public display of support is really huge to NASCAR and 23XI Racing’s Wallace, emphasizing the positive impact of cross-sport recognition. Kriete also feels that the American football player is likely a fan of Wallace and NASCAR.
On his YouTube channel, Kriete said:
“This is really cool to see Jaden Daniels has been in the NFL for at least a couple years now I think it's I might be rookie not entirely sure, but Jaden Daniels wearing NASCAR memorabilia… Obviously DoorDash no longer sponsors 23XI Racing, so that jacket is probably from a year old at this point, but I still think it's really cool that Bubba Wallace and NASCAR are getting the exposure here. It's really huge to sport that Jaden Daniels also probably does support Bubba Wallace, he probably is a fan of NASCAR, which is probably why he wore that jacket in the first place.” [2:00]
NASCAR YouTuber also expressed his excitement about athletes from other sports showcasing NASCAR merchandise, as seen with Jaden Daniels wearing Bubba Wallace’s 23XI jacket. He hopes this trend expands to include merchandise from other modern NASCAR drivers like Shane van Gisbergen (SVG), Kyle Larson, Chase Elliott, and potentially Hailie Deegan if she returns to the sport.
