Danica Patrick, a trailblazing US-based female racer, recently spoke about NASCAR's political ideology. She expressed her views during an interview with renowned journalist Tucker Carlson on his nightly political talk show.

Much like any budding racer, Patrick began her career in go-karting. The Wisconsin-based driver rose to fame in her 2005 debut season in the IndyCar Series. During her first Indianapolis 500 race, Patrick showcased her racecraft by leading the iconic racing event for 19 laps and finishing in fourth place, thereby becoming the first female racer to do so. She also won the Rookie of the Year award that year.

After a successful IndyCar Series run, Patrick eventually moved to stock car racing in NASCAR's national series. She won accolades from critics and fans alike for becoming the first female driver to qualify in pole position for the legendary Daytona 500 race.

Now, after her retirement from NASCAR, Danica Patrick opened up about her life after racing, conspiracy theories, and a few other topics with Tucker Carlson on 'The Tucker Carlson Show.' During the show, Carlson questioned her on NASCAR's political inclination.

"Well I mean, where I came from NASCAR, I mean I don't know if there's anybody really very liberal or Democrat in the whole garage. It's very Republican, very conservative," Patrick replied. (5:13 onwards).

Patrick then shared that her views differed from those that were generally prevalent at NASCAR.

"It didn't make me like that. That's the way I am anyway. But I feel like I've lived my lifestyle in a much more, I don't know, casual way," she added.

Patrick believes this was likely due to the lack of time and energy on her part for anything other than racing during her career.

Here's how Danica Patrick dealt with backlash from fans on her political stance in 2023

Danica Patrick was subjected to backlash from fans last year. Her crime was that she attended a Turning Point USA conference with her sister. Patrick posted several pictures and videos of the event on her Instagram page in December 2023 along with the following caption:

"Sister came to town to check out @turningpointusa with me! Dad replied to our pic with - perfect daughters. 😜 we do love our country…. so AMfest (America fest) makes sense. 🇺🇸"

Several fans criticized the Wisconsin-based racer for supporting former US President Donald Trump and his Republican views. However, Patrick dealt with the hate in a straightforward manner.

"I am not a liberal. I am somewhere between Republican and independent," she stated.

Further clarifying her views, Patrick added:

"There is so much propaganda that penetrates mainstream media. I love this country and I have lived other places. I believe when people of different opinions speak face to face we realize we are more similar than different. I don’t believe everything anyone says."
