Joey Logano shared his feelings after winning the five-overtime Ally 400 race at Nashville on Sunday. He broke his 50-race winless streak [excluding the All-Star race at North Wilkesboro since it was a non-point race].

Starting the race from 26th position, Logano led nine out of 331 laps, which stretched 31 laps past the planned distance, steering his Ford into Victory Lane and securing a spot in the playoffs. The race marked his first win at the 1.33-mile Tennessee track and the 33rd victory of his Cup Series career.

Running on fumes, Joey Logano just managed to cross the finish line during the first overtime. But after taking the lead following the third overtime restart, the 34-year-old dug deep, steering through two more restarts under high pressure and low fuel, to finally win the 2024 NASCAR Cup Series Ally 400 at Nashville Superspeedway.

Discussing the significance of the win for him and the #22 team, Joey Logano expressed pride and relief. He said [via NASCAR on TSN X/Twitter]:

"So proud of the Shell Penzo Mustang team. It's been a stressful few weeks trying to get into the playoffs and being able to win here is this huge for our season. So felt great to get that."

He also opened up about how the victory eased the team's tension, explaining:

"So much pressure. To try to make the playoffs is not easy these days of these Next Gen cars and it was so equally matched. I've made a lot of mistakes even some today and it's nice to be able to overcome them. So I think Shell and Pennzoil, Ford. Everyone to help support us all the way through Coca-Cola. This is just a much-needed win, for sure."

Joey Logano not happy with Denny Hamlin, shows him middle finger

During lap 123 of Ally 400, while restarting from P4, Joey Logano got a nudge from Denny Hamlin. The contact caused both drivers to slide up the track, losing positions. By the time Ty Gibbs spun out on lap 126, triggering the third caution of the day, Logano had dropped to P15. Frustrated with Hamlin’s move, Logano didn’t hold back and threw up the middle finger at him.

Logano showed his anger on the radio to his crew, venting: [via NASCAR]

“He’s got one coming. Frickin’ drives through me into [Turn] 1, where’s he going?”

Meanwhile, the race ended with Zane Smith, Tyler Reddick, Ryan Preece, and Chris Buescher finishing strong in the top five. Rounding out the top 10 were Ryan Blaney, Bubba Wallace, Kyle Larson, Daniel Hemric, and Noah Gragson.
