Samantha Busch celebrated the increasing awareness about IVF after it was discussed on the national level earlier. She has been committed towards raising awareness about the procedure.
Earlier this week, Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump talked about the importance of in vitro fertilization (IVF). Busch, who is also an IVF mother of two children, reacted to this. She has been raising awareness about the same for a long time.
Moreover, she has also written a book regarding the same, called Fighting Infertility: Finding My Inner Warrior Through Trying to Conceive, IVF, and Miscarriage. Reacting to the awareness at the national level, Busch wrote on her Instagram story:
"I'm not getting into politics at all I'm simply going to say as an IVF mom of 2 who has fought for over a decade to help bring awareness and education to all things infertility finally hearing it on a national stage is awesome. We are strong community and it's finally being recognized the emotional, physical and financials strains 1 in 6 couples will face 👏👏."
She also wrote about the time she visited Washington D.C. to work on advocating coverage for infertility. Busch added how she felt "defeated" to learn that the World Health Organization had classified it as a "disease."
"Here's a throw back picture of me in D.C. trying to help advocate for covering infertility. I felt defeated to be honest that it was a disease (yes the WHO has classified infertility as a disease) that no one was paying attention to there. Now to hear it openly talked about during an election year is refreshing."
"There are so many couples that we have personally helped thru the BOJ that have had to work multiple jobs, mortgage their homes, take out huge loans just to have a chance to become parents. Now they are being seen."
How is Samantha Busch's BOJ Foundation helping to spread the word about IVF?
Samantha Busch and Kyle Busch together run the Bundle of Joy Foundation which has turned out to be a huge channel to raise awareness about IVF and help underprivileged couples.
It has been noted that some families never have kids since the cost of an IVF procedure can be overwhelming. However, the Bundle of Joy Foundation aids families through this by providing monetary aid. According to their website, they have so far granted more than $1.7 million in funds across 131 grants.
The Busch family has been a vessel for spreading awareness about the IVF procedure and they continue to do so. The Bundle of Joy Foundation has seemingly worked as an excellent tool to help with it, too.
