Two-time NASCAR Cup Series champion Joey Logano has a humongous Ford car collection, from vintage rides to race-ready beasts. Logano’s passion for cars extends beyond the racetrack, as he recently showcased a vintage car from his personal car collection on social media.
As the NASCAR season is on a two-week Olympic break, Logano took some time to share a post on X, flaunting his 1924 Ford Model T car. For Logano, this century-old Ford car is more than just a car. He described the Model T as his “favorite car to drive.”
Sharing a post on X (formerly Twitter), Logano wrote:
“Here’s an off-weekend project you don’t see too often… Installing fresh tires on my favorite car to drive, my 1924 @Ford Model T”
The Model T car has a classic design with its iconic shape and vintage charm, which makes it appealing. It was introduced for the first time in 1908 and considered one of the most significant cars in history.
Joey Logano once showed off his Ford collection from his personal shop in North Carolina, where he expressed his love for the 1924 Ford Model T and explained why it stands out as one of his favorite cars to drive.
In NASCAR’s YouTube video, Logano said:
“This is where it all began. This, to me, is one of my favorites because you feel like you're going 140 miles an hour when you’re going 30, on big wooden wheels and the car wants to roll over. Everything you do is kinda backwards driving it—the way the pedals work and the throttle and all, and there’s something about hand-cranking the motor.”
Can Joey Logano win his third NASCAR Cup Series championship in 2024?
The #9 Team Penske Ford driver has had a topsy-turvy 2024 NASCAR Cup Series season so far. He has been struggling to perform consistently and has three DNF results.
Despite the inconsistent season, Joey Logano has managed to win two races, including the All-Star Race, and has locked his berth for the playoffs. With an average finish of 17.5 in 22 races this season so far, Logano has scored four top-fives and seven top-10 finishes.
With four races remaining in the regular season, Logano sits 10th in the Cup Series points table with 525 points.
If Joey Logano has to claim his third NASCAR Cup title, then he has to perform consistently in the remaining regular season races and in the initial round of playoffs to gain some good positions in the championship standings.
Catch Joey Logano in action at the Richmond Raceway on Sunday (August 11) at 6 pm ET.
