Stewart-Haas Racing driver Josh Berry's wife, Ginny Berry, was elated with his husband's strong finish at the New Hampshire Motor Speedway on Sunday. Berry finished third place, securing his second top-5 finish of the season.

While only a few saw it coming, it was an event to remember for Stewart-Haas Racing. The team, set to shut down its operations at the end of the campaign, secured a second-place finish in the NASCAR Cup Series race at New Hampshire Motor Speedway.

Chase Briscoe, piloting the No. 14 Ford, emerged as the runner-up on Sunday. The result was a major upswing in form for the 29-year-old driver, who had failed to finish above 17th in the last four races. The race, which was marred with rain and restarts, saw him and teammate Josh Berry take advantage of the wet conditions to finish inside the top 5.

Berry, who once found himself challenging the eventual race-winner Josh Berry for the win, settled for a third-place finish behind Briscoe. While the netizens were less than pleased with how the outcome panned out in New Hampshire, given the inclement weather conditions, Josh Berry's wife, Ginny Lauren, was a happy soul.

Ginny took to her Instagram story to congratulate the former JR Motorsports driver. Sharing clips from the race earlier in the day, she wrote:

"Another great day for the #4 team!"

In the aftermath of the race, Berry reflected on the day’s events and the unique challenges presented by the weather. Berry, who is in his maiden NASCAR Cup Series campaign, said (via Motorsport.com):

"The rain was a new opportunity for us, and we capitalized. The car was really, really good that second half. I mean, we cut right up through there. Just started out the day really strong and ended it strong, too."

Berry detailed how crucial it was to have a well-prepared car, especially under such unpredictable conditions. The SHR driver stated:

"It’s definitely a challenge. It’s intense, but it’s so much fun. You see us running through the water on the frontstretch. I have never done anything like that in my life, but, man, it was so much fun."
“Our car was really strong. That helps. It’s not just us driving in the rain. It takes the adjustments and the air pressures and everything it takes to make it go on the rain tires. A lot to be proud of.”

The Cup race in New Hampshire has seen Josh Berry climb up to 19th position in the NASCAR Cup Series standings. He has 357 points to his name.
