The NASCAR Xfinity Series is all set to enter its playoffs, and Justin Allgaier is raising the bar high for the defending champion Cole Custer from the Stewart-Hass Racing team. The point difference between the top two drivers in speedways and overall performances is huge, giving the JR Motorsport driver a lead this year.
A Canadian NASCAR journalist shared a list of the top 10 drivers on speedway tracks in an X post, and the JR Motorsports driver is on top of the list. He secured 137 points, and the Stewart-Hass Racing team's driver is in fourth place with 111 points. Allgaier has a lead of 26 points over Custer, and things have changed a lot since last year.
Last year, Justin Allgaier scored only 39 points and was in 29th and 17th position in the two races at the Atlanta Motor Speedway. On the other hand, Cole Custer dominated the track and secured 68 points in races, securing third and twelfth positions. But this year things didn't go as planned for Cole and Justin as they got involved in an unfortunate accident during the race.
However, before the accident, Justin Allgaier dominated the Stage 1 race and secured first place; even in Stage 2, he was in the top 10, securing seventh place. On the flip side, Cole Custer was in eighth place in Stage 1 of the race and third in Stage 2. After their accident in the final stage, Cole only did 144 laps, finishing in 31st position, and the #7 driver did 146 laps and finished in 30th position.
Custer secured the top 5 rank fourteen times and the top 10 rank twenty-one times, and Justin Allgaier secured the top 5 rank fifteen times and the top 10 rank twenty times in the 2023 Xfinity series. Since last season, Allgaier has maintained a strong record on speedways, and in the 2024 season, he is dominating Custer with his performance.

The JR Motorsports driver won the Michigan International Speedway race on August 17. But the defending champion met an unfortunate fate once again in the race. His Ford suffered hefty damage while trying to take a lead during his 111th lap on the track, resulting in a DNF in the 30th position.
