Kaulig Racing's 2025 driver Ty Dillon shared a stories post featuring his sons Kapton and Bear of the three of them around a miniature racing track with a remote controlled car on Christmas eve. Dillon, who is the grandson of Richard Childress and brother of Cup Series driver Austin Dillon, shared the clip with the caption:
"Offseason testing with the boys!"
Dillon and his wife, Haley have been married since 2014. They have three children, their daughter Oakley, who was born in 2017, and their middle child, Kapton, who was born in 2020. The newest addition to their family, Bear, was born earlier this year in April.
Dillon spent his 2024 racing in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series full-time in the #25 for Rackley WAR. He finished his 2024 season in 22nd place in the standings after 18 starts. He also raced for Kaulig Racing part-time in the Cup Series. During his time with the team, he achieved a top 20 result twice out of the five starts he made in the #16 Camaro.
The 32-year-old also had starts for Richard Childress Racing in its #33 car in Indianapolis where he finished 19th, and for Team AmeriVert in its #50 car in Charlotte where he finished in 36th place.
Ty Dillon shared his thoughts on joining Kaulig Racing
Over the course of his career in NASCAR, Ty Dillon has had 244 Cup Series starts, and raced full-time for six seasons between 2017 and 2023. During his 2017 to 2020 run, he raced for the now-defunct Germain Racing. Now, Dillon has been selected to race the newly acquired #10 for Kaulig Racing full-time next season.
When the news was announced in September this year, Dillon said (via NASCAR.com):
“I am incredibly grateful for another opportunity to run full-time in the Cup Series, and to be able to do it with the men and women at Kaulig Racing means a lot to me personally. They gave me a chance this year to go out and prove myself in a handful of starts. The team and I were able to connect early on, and we put together a few strong runs in the No. 16. I’m really looking forward to what 2025 brings with this team. We have a bright future ahead of us and we’re going to give it our all each and every race next season.”
Ty Dillon will race his first race for Kaulig on his return to a full-time season at the Cup Series level at the first points race in Daytona in February.
