Kelley Earnhardt recently invited Cup Series team Wood Brothers Racing's president Jon Wood for a conversation on NASCAR's most extensive media coverage channel, Dirty Mo Media.

Established in 1905, Wood Brothers Racing is NASCAR's oldest and most decorated team. Since its inception, the team has completed 1,761 races in the Cup Series and secured 100 wins. Their latest win came at the hands of Harrison Burton in the Coke Zero Sugar 400 at Daytona International Speedway. Notable athletes to have driven for WBR are Dale Jarret, Cale Yarborough, and Buddy Baker.

Recently, Kelley Earnhardt, who co-owns Xfinity Series team JR Motorsports with her brother Dale Earnhardt Jr. spoke with WBR President Jon Wood and asked him what he thinks is the most difficult part of being WBR's president. On the Business of Motorsports podcast, Jon Wood said:

"The relationship stuff. That's the single most important part. I think back to some super missed opportunities. My dad and Lynn were invited by I don't know if they own it or they just run it, but it's the Miami Grand Prix. They were invited to the F1 race in the Chairman's Suite or whatever this title is. And I thought of every opportunity to not go than to go."
"And I look back. Why did I do that? I should have just sucked it up and went. Those are the things I've got to overcome. It's some kind of anxiety. Everybody has different levels of anxiety but mine is I just don't want to do these things where I'm forced to carry on a conversation with somebody that I just don't know and that might think I'm a redneck." WBR's president added

Following Jon Wood's response, Kelley Earnhardt, being a team owner herself understood his reasons and said 'I am so with you.'

In racing matters, JR Motorsports driver Justin Allgaier secured the coveted 2024 Xfinity Series title, following in the footsteps of his team's co-owner Dale Earnhardt Jr., Kelley Earnhardt Miller's brother. This marked Allgaier's first and fourth driver championship in the Xfinity Series.

Kelley Earnhardt highlights the reasons that propelled Justin Allgaier to secure the 2024 championship title

Justin Allgaier pilots the #7 Chevrolet for JR Motorsports, competing full-time in the Cup Series. His consistent performance in the 2024 season gave him an edge over his competitors, helping him bag the Xfinity Series title. However, Kelley Earnhardt feels that Allgaier being a man of faith also has a major role to play.

Outlining this reason, she wrote on X:

"Being a Christian and man of faith is @J_Allgaier best quality and this Championship is testament to that. He and I had the opportunity to participate in the book below - get your copy! @FollowMRO"

Moreover, Allgaier signed a multi-year contract with JR Motorsports that will keep him as the driver for their #7 team. The Xfinity Series will return on the day after Valentine's Day, February 15th, 2025 for the United Rentals 300 at 5:00 PM Eastern time. Can Allgaier defend his title? Let us know in the comments.
