Former NASCAR driver Kenny Wallace shared an interesting insight following Joey Logano's victory at the South Point 400 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway on Sunday. Wallace, from his official social media account, revealed that fuel mileage races interest him after Logano's victory.

Logano held off pole sitter Christopher Bell and Daniel Suarez to claim the South Point 400 victory in Las Vegas on Sunday. This was the Team Penske driver's fourth victory of this season and a much-needed one at this point.

The Penske driver optimized his fuel mileage, ran on one tank of fuel, and got the better of Bell by 0.662 seconds in the end. Following the conclusion of the race, Wallace took to his X account to share an update. He wrote:

"Fuel mileage races in @NASCAR are exciting."

Thanks to his victory, Logano can see himself through to the Championship 4 after briefly being eliminated from the playoffs at Charlotte. However, Alex Bowman's disqualification after the race reinstated him into the playoffs.

In Las Vegas, the #22 driver seized the opportunity and technically sealed his place for the final round of the playoffs. With this, Logano can eye his third Cup Series championship at Phoenix now.

Following his emphatic victory at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, an elated Joey Logano shared his thoughts, where he praised his #22 car, crew chief, and gas man for helping him claim the win.

"Man we do some fuel mileage stuff, don’t we? Holy cow,” Logano told NBC. “What an incredible turn of events here the last week. What a very fast Mustang. We’re going to Championship 4 again."
"Great calls by (crew chief) Paul (Wolfe), Nick Hensley, our gas man, making sure she’s full. Giving me the good info I need to save fuel and keep the lead that we needed. What an incredible situation. Man, I’m so blessed."

Thanks to the triumph, Joey Logano is currently occupying the top spot in the NASCAR playoffs, ahead of Christopher Bell, Kyle Larson, and William Byron.
