As the 2024 NASCAR Cup Series heads to Las Vegas Motor Speedway, Kevin Harvick shared his insights and predicted the winner for the first race of the NASCAR playoff Round of 8. He’s going with Hendrick Motorsports driver to win Sunday’s South Point 400 at Las Vegas.

On the “Happy Hour” podcast, the former NASCAR driver-turned-commentator Harvick shared a detailed analysis of the driver he believes would be a strong contender to win the seventh race of the playoffs on Sunday, October 20.

Kevin Harvick picked Kyle Larson to win Sunday’s (October 20) South Point 400 at Las Vegas. Harvick believes Larson will be tough to beat at Las Vegas considering his recent form and past success at this track. Larson is also a defending winner of the event.

Picking the Las Vegas winner, Harvick said:

“Well, it's hard to go against Kyle Larson. He won the first race there. He dominated this last week. I'm going to stick with that Kyle Larson, Cliff Daniels train as, as they head back to Las Vegas.”

Harvick’s co-host, Kaitlyn Vincie, also picked Larson to back-to-back races this week.

“I do have to go back to that Kyle Larson Vegas victories,” Vincie said.

Meanwhile, co-host Mamba Smith picked Christopher Bell to win this weekend.

“I'm going to go with a C Bell (Christopher Bell). I think he has like two poles at three poles. It seems like every time we go to Vegas and he's either, he's starting on the front row. So, C Bell in victory lane.”

It will be interesting to see how Kevin Harvick and his co-hosts pick fares at Las Vegas.

How has Kevin Harvick’s favorite performed at Las Vegas?

The #5 Hendrick Motorsports Chevrolet driver has had outstanding numbers at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. He has three wins, eight top-five finishes and 12 top-10 finishes, with an average finish of 9.3 in 16 starts at Las Vegas.

Larson’s most recent win at Las Vegas came in this year’s Pennzoil 400 in March. He will look to replicate Las Vegas spring race performance on Sunday to win three consecutive races at a 1.5-mile-long quad-oval-shaped track. He's leading the Cup Series playoffs points table with a 33-point cushion in the playoff elimination line.
