Kevin Harvick’s son Keelan was found in the makeup room getting some final touches before what seemed like a media day. The 12-year-old prodigy shared a photo of the same through one of his recent posts on X. When Dale Earnhardt Jr. realized who the person doing the makeup was, he was stunned.

It was none other than Sanda Fix, winner of the 1989 Miss Winston title. Fix is also known for her appearance in the Miss South Dakota USA in 1988 and her role in the 2008 movie “Me & You, Us, Forever”. Longtime NASCAR fans know her for the congratulatory kiss that she planted on Ricky Rudd’s cheek after he won the Banquet Frozen Foods 300 on June 11, 1989.

Keelan captioned the post, saying,

“2025 Prep!”

Dale Earnhardt Jr. posted an old photo of Fix in the comments section and wrote,

“Your makeup artist is a legend.”

Kevin Harvick agreed. The former Cup Series champion responded to Dale Jr.‘s comment by saying,

“Facts.”

Just four weeks ago, Keelan made his limited late model debut at Florence Motor Speedway. The young speedster impressed everyone, including his father, by pulling off a top-10 finish on the very first night of competition with the No. 62 Hunt Brothers Pizza Chevrolet.

“I didn’t really put all this together for him to be in the biggest Limited race of the year, but it worked out really well because he got to race against a really competitive field,” Kevin Harvick said during a post-race interview (via MASCAR). “His race craft tonight was something I was proud of. He did an amazing job in the car.”

The father-son duo will join forces with Rackley W.A.R. to run select Super and Pro Late models next year. In return, Harvick will act as a consultant to Dawson Sutton, driver of the No. 26 machine for Rackley in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series.

Kevin Harvick goes candid on upcoming late model venture with son Keelan

In 2024, Kevin Harvick Inc. returned to full-time competition in the CARS Tour fielding entries for drivers like Brent Crews, Ryan Preece, Layne Riggs, Josh Berry, Landen Lewis, and William Sawalich. The team won several races last season including the Drive for Puryear 125 at Wake County Speedway in August.

However, Harvick knows that driving Pro and Super Late Models is way more challenging than driving the generic late model stock cars. Reflecting on the same, he said (as quoted by FloRacing),

“Although KHI had some success this year in the Late Model Stock world, the Pros and Supers are different animals. We still plan to have a presence in the CARS Tour next year, but Rackley W.A.R. has a solid and proven track record that will drastically improve the learning curve for Keelan and I in the Super and Pro Late Models.”
“In return, I hope that my years of owning and operating a championship winning truck program will help shorten Dawson’s learning curve in his rookie truck season and positively impact their truck program,” he added.

Harvick is expected to race at Kern Raceway in California on January 25. As per reports, he will run about 15 races in 2025. On the other hand, Keelan’s schedule is not known yet. What we know is that Harvick and his son will compete in a total of 25 to 30 Late Model races throughout the upcoming season.
